Plum Village in the Czech Republic We are a community of practitioners here in the Czech Republic who follow Thich Nhat Hanh and the Ze Come and join us!

We are a Czech-English-Vietnamese speaking sangha (community) on the Path of Thich Nhat Hanh's meditation (ala Plum Village) which meets monthly for a Day of Mindfulness (normally Saturdays 9:30-4) at the Lotus Center in Prague 1. We do sitting and walking meditation, listen to a Talk by Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) or other monastics, have a mindful lunch and then walk outside, sing, do dharma sharing... Come join us! Věnujeme se meditaci vsedě, v chůzi, nasloucháme Thich Nhat Hanhově promluvě (či ostatního mnišstva), společně jíme s Plným vědomím, chodíme tiše i ven a sdílíme své dharmové zkušenosti. Thiền sư Thích Nhất Hạnh hay các tu sĩ khác, ăn trưa ý nghĩa, rồi đi ra ngoài, hát, chia sẻ pháp giới ... Hãy cùng chúng tôi tham gia! Jste srdečně zváni!:-)

Mluvit s mírem v nás: “✍️ Words Born from Peace - The words we speak to others—to our loved ones, our spouses, our children, our parents, our friends, to people we meet—are shaped by what lives inside us in the moment we speak them.

When we are mindful with our actions in daily life, when we bring peace to our inner minds by being present with our breath, something shifts. We gain clarity. We can see more clearly what words will help, what words will heal, what words will bring comfort instead of pain.

But without that mindfulness, without that inner peace, we lose our way. We get swept up in anger before we realize what's happening. We misunderstand people's intentions. We speak from hurt or frustration, and our words—without meaning to—create suffering for the very people we care about most.

How many times have we said something harsh to someone we love, only to regret it moments later? How many times have our words caused pain we never intended, simply because we spoke from inner chaos instead of inner calm?

When we are at peace, when we are present with our own breath and aware of our state of mind, we naturally speak differently. We pause before we react. We listen more deeply. We respond with care instead of impulse. We find words that build up instead of tear down, that soothe instead of wound, that bring understanding instead of creating distance.

It is such a beautiful thing to bring happiness to people with our words. To make them feel cared, valued, loved. To ease their suffering instead of adding to it. To speak in ways that heal rather than harm.

And it all starts with this: being mindful. Choosing peace for our inner minds. Noticing our breath. Paying attention to what we're feeling before we let those feelings determine what we say.

When we walk peacefully within ourselves, our words become gifts we can offer others with care and intention.

May we all learn to speak from that peaceful place. May our words bring more happiness and less suffering to everyone they touch.

May you and all beings be well, happy, and at peace.

“This is a compassion that does not confine itself to passively wishing good for others but courageously takes the steps necessary to help them: to remove their suffering and bring them real happiness. This is a compassion informed by the voice of conscience, which continually reminds us that too many of our fellow beings, human and animal alike, are unjustly condemned to lives of misery.

“Conscientious compassion boldly enters the fray of action, not afraid to engage with politics, economics, and programs of social uplift. It tells us that we need to treat people as ends rather than as means, ensuring that they are protected against exploitation and injustice. „Jedná se o soucit, který se neomezuje pouze na pasivní přání dobra ostatním, ale odvážně podniká kroky nezbytné k tomu, aby jim pomohl: odstranit jejich utrpení a přinést jim skutečné štěstí. Jedná se o soucit, který vychází z hlasu svědomí, který nám neustále připomíná, že příliš mnoho našich bližních, lidí i zvířat, je nespravedlivě odsouzeno k životu v bídě.

„Svědomité soucítění se odvážně vrhá do boje, nebojí se angažovat v politice, ekonomice a programech sociálního povznesení. Říká nám, že musíme s lidmi zacházet jako s cílem, nikoli jako s prostředkem, a zajistit, aby byli chráněni před vykořisťováním a nespravedlností. Je to soucítění, které jedná, a zároveň svědomí, které zůstává vždy otevřené bolesti světa.“

Our Story Náš příběh

Jsme česko-anglicky mluvící sangha (společenství), která praktikuje 9. rokem v tradici mistra Thich Nhat Hanha. (www.plumvillage.org). Otvíráme tímto naši sanghu pro širší veřejnost. Jste srdečně zváni, přijďte si užít pravý klid!

Setkáváme se k energetickému osvěžení celoročně, každý měsíc v sobotu na 6 hodin společné čisté praxe Plného Vědomí (obvykle 1. sobota v měsíci, 9.30-16:30) v centru Lotus Praha, ul. Dlouhé 2 na Praze 1. Letos připravujeme pravidelné tématické promluvy doplněné záznamem Ctihodného Thaye Thich Nhat Hanha. Často bývá přítomen bratr To Fu, mnich – náš spojenec přímo z Plum Village – zpevňuje náš záměr osvobodit od stresu nás všechny, tady a teď.
