Are VR glasses safe for the eyes? 👓

VR puts more strain on the eyes than normal. The image is very close, and the brain is constantly adjusting the focus to create a three-dimensional perception. With prolonged use, this can lead to eye muscle fatigue, dryness due to reduced blinking, headaches, and short-term problems with refocusing.

However, research does not show permanent damage to vision in healthy people. Safety depends mainly on how we use VR. It is recommended to take breaks every 20 to 30 minutes, adjust the device's optics correctly, use VR in a well-lit room, and discontinue use if discomfort persists. For children, it is advisable to limit the time in the headset.
