Die Physiotherapiepraxis mit dem Schwerpunkt Torticollis

Ich bin seit über 20 Jahren Pysiotherapeutin und habe in verschiedenen Praxen und mit dutzenden Patienten jede Menge Berufspraxis gesammelt. Lange Jahre in der Praxis von Lilo Cross in Bückeburg tätig, behandle ich nach wie vor mit der nach ihr benannten Cross-Methode und bin ihr sehr dankbar, dass ich so viel von ihr lernen durfte. Meine Patienten kommen aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet und auch aus dem Ausland um mit der Cross-Methode therapiert zu werden. Bei Lilo Cross bin ich auch zum ersten mal mit Torticollis Patienten in Berührung gekommen. Die intensive Arbeit und umfangreiche Behandlung der Menschen mit diesem komplexen Krankheitsbild faszinierte mich und so stieg ich mit in die Torticollis Therapie ein. Inzwischen blicke ich auf über zwanzig Jahre Erfahrung zurück und bin sehr stolz darauf, nun meine eigene Praxis für Physiotherapie in Bückeburg zu haben. Ich verstehe meine Praxis als kleine „Oase“ in der Patient und Therapeut in ruhiger und entspannter Atmosphäre als Team gemeinsam daran arbeiten, eine verbesserte Lebensqualität für den Patienten zu erzielen.

Die Umstellung von Winter- auf Sommerzeit sowie umgekehrt, kann sich auch auf dystone Bewegungsstörungen auswirken. Dies insbesondere, wenn Schlaf beeinträchtigt ist und Medikamente zeitgebunden einzunehmen sind.

Deutliche Vergütungssteigerungen von 4,01 Prozent für die Physiotherapie
Im Rahmen der Schiedsverhandlung am 19. März 2025 hat die Schiedsstelle Heilmittel eine Vergütungssteigerung von 4,01 Prozent beschlossen. Der neue Vertrag läuft vom 1. Januar bis zum 31. Cervical dystonia, also known as spasmodic torticollis, is a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions in the neck. These contractions can cause the head to twist or turn to one side, resulting in pain and discomfort for those affected. Living with cervical dystonia can be challenging, as it can impact daily activities and the quality of life.

Although the exact cause of cervical dystonia is unknown, it is believed to be related to a combination of genetic and environmental factors. It is not a life-threatening condition, but it can be chronic and progressive, with symptoms worsening over time.

Treatment options for cervical dystonia include medications, physical therapy, and botulinum toxin injections. Medications such as muscle relaxants and anticholinergic drugs can help reduce muscle spasms and relieve pain. Physical therapy can also be beneficial in improving muscle strength and flexibility.

Botulinum toxin injections, commonly known as Botox, are often used as a treatment for cervical dystonia. These injections work by temporarily paralyzing the muscles in the neck, reducing muscle contractions and alleviating symptoms. However, the effects of Botox injections are temporary and need to be repeated every few months.

Living with cervical dystonia can be challenging, both physically and emotionally. Support groups and counseling can provide valuable support and help individuals cope with the condition. It is important to seek medical advice and explore treatment options to manage the symptoms and improve quality of life.
