On this day, we remember Dr. John E. Upledger (1932–2012), the visionary developer of CranioSacral Therapy (CST) and founder of Upledger Institute International.

This year holds special meaning as we also celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Upledger CranioSacral Therapy. For four decades, Dr. Upledger’s groundbreaking vision has touched lives across the globe, inspiring healthcare professionals to carry forward his mission of holistic healing and compassionate care.

We are forever grateful for his passion, his pioneering contributions, and the enduring legacy that continues to shape the future of integrative healthcare.

Als wir diese Forschungsergebnisse erstmals vorstellten, traf sie den Nerv der Zeit – und das aus gutem Grund.

Die Studie zeigte das Potenzial der CranioSacral-Therapie (CST), den Cortisolspiegel zu senken und die Haltungsstabilität bei Feuerwehranwärtern zu verbessern – entscheidende Faktoren, um diesen Helden an vorderster Front dabei zu helfen, körperlich und geistig fit zu bleiben.

It is with deep gratitude and heartfelt remembrance that we honor the life and legacy of Dianne Gardner (formerly Dianne Upledger)— Co-Founder of Upledger Institute.

In 1985, Dianne joined Dr. John Upledger, Allen Merrell, and Elizabeth Packer-Merrell (Frank) in founding the Institute, helping to bring a bold and compassionate vision of healing into the world. Her thoughtful leadership, unwavering dedication, and warm presence was instrumental in the early days shaping the Institute’s mission and the global community it continues to nurture.

Dianne’s presence left a lasting imprint on the Upledger Institute, especially through the beginning years supporting the administrative team and her thoughtful involvement in select programs, including the Certification Program. Her impact extended beyond tasks and titles — she brought warmth, grace, and genuine care to her work, touching the lives of students and colleagues alike. Dianne helped foster a sense of connection and purpose that continues to resonate throughout our community.

She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit lives on in every student, therapist, and life changed through the work she helped make possible.
