How does our oldest and largest production site look behind the scenes? 👀

Located in 📍Vršac, Serbia, this site brings more than six decades of experience in producing solid and sterile dosage forms.

Established in 1960 and part of the STADA Group since 2006, the Vršac site covers 290,000 m² and produced more than 45 million packs of medicines in 2024 alone. With a broad portfolio ranging from tablets and capsules to effervescent forms, ampoules and lyophilisates, the site plays a crucial role in supporting STADA’s supply across multiple markets.

Across more than 20 countries, colleagues joined this year’s Global Caring Day to turn our purpose “Caring for People’s Health” into action. Through blood donations, senior home visits, health check-ups, awareness activities, Christmas gift collections for all ages, and many other local initiatives, teams made a real difference in their communities.

STADA Pymepharco's sites in Vietnam stand as a strong example of how strategic investment in solar energy directly contributes to addressing climate change. 🌱

Since 2019, more than 16,000 m² of solar panels have been installed, generating 15,000 MWh of green energy to date. This initiative has already saved €1.3 million and prevented 8,000 tons of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to 1,500 car trips around the planet. 🚗

And we are not stopping there. An additional 3,000 m² of solar panels are planned for installation in 2025, further strengthening our commitment to renewable energy and sustainable growth. 🌎

Global progress in sustainable innovation reminds us that meaningful change is possible when responsibility and action go hand in hand.

Volunteering for Stronger Culture

A strong culture grows when people come together to support their communities. Across the STADA Group, colleagues continue to show how volunteering can create meaningful impact and strengthen the bonds that unite us.

In Bulgaria, employees have the opportunity to take one paid day off each year to engage in volunteer activities.

30 colleagues in Croatia joined a Volunteering Day to help renovate and paint the House for the Elderly in Peščenica, creating a warmer and more welcoming environment for its residents.

Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, Centrafarm supports Villa Pardoes through both donations and hands-on volunteering, providing families of seriously ill children with a safe and comforting place to stay.

By encouraging and supporting volunteering, STADA strengthens communities while fostering a workplace culture built on compassion, solidarity, and responsibility. 🌱

Although AI is becoming increasingly important in the healthcare sector, personal contact remains crucial for many Europeans.

When asked who they trust in health matters, clear preferences emerge: When asked who they trust in health matters, clear preferences emerge:
🩺 General practitioners (69%)
👩‍⚕️ Other healthcare professionals (61%)
💊 Pharmacists (58%)

After that, there’s a steep drop. Only around one in four people (24%) still turn to scientific media for health information. Among non-human sources, Google ranks second with 20% trust.

Interestingly, AI is trusted by 15% of people - more than mainstream media (12%) and health influencers (11%). Even 39% can imagine visiting an AI instead of a doctor.

At the very bottom of the list are politicians. Just 8% of Europeans trust them in health matters, though that figure rises slightly to 11% among younger people.

The takeaway: Even in an increasingly digital world, we continue to place our trust first and foremost in people - especially those with medical training. In matters of health, information is everywhere but it's not just knowledge we seek, but care we can rely on.
