Haemophilia is a congenital blood-clotting disorder in which certain clotting factors are missing or non-functional. As a result, the blood can no longer clot properly, leading to excessively prolonged or severe bleeding – even following minor injuries or spontaneously within the body.

But what does this mean for surgical procedures in patients with ? How can bleeding be reliably controlled when natural clotting is impaired? This is precisely where targeted, locally effective is crucial.

HaemoCer PLUS can be used in this context as a supportive measure in the operating theatre. The plant-based haemostatic powder has an extremely high water absorption capacity, which accelerates natural blood clotting without chemical or pharmaceutical interaction. This leads to an accumulation of fibrin, thrombin and red blood cells at the source of the bleeding, thereby stopping the bleeding. In this way, HaemoCer PLUS makes a valuable contribution to during surgery in patients.

The medical technology world gathered in Shanghai last week – and BioCer was right at the heart of it all as part of the Bayern International joint stand! With 5,000 exhibitors and over 200,000 visitors from 150 countries, the Spring CMEF provided the perfect platform for our latest developments.

The focus was on our plant-based medical products, which are derived from purified plant starch. We were able to demonstrate to numerous experts how HaemoCer PLUS is used as a powder for and as a barrier for the prevention of .

See you in the autumn, when we meet again in China for CMEF Autumn in Beijing; when, as part of the Bayern International joint stand, the motto will once again be: “Innovative from Bavaria”.

In surgery, time is not just money, but tissue. When it comes to controlling bleeding quickly and safely, we rely on the power of physics rather than complicated chemistry.

Here you can find out how HaemoCer PLUS accelerates the natural coagulation process:
- The sponge effect (PURE™ technology): As soon as the ultra-hydrophilic powder comes into contact with the source of bleeding, it extracts the fluid from the blood within seconds.
- Maximum concentration: This extraction causes a massive local enrichment of the body's own coagulation factors such as thrombin, fibrinogen, and platelets. The result: the natural coagulation cascade is “triggered.”
- Physics instead of chemistry: Hemostasis is accelerated purely physically – without chemical or pharmaceutical interaction with the body.

The last day of the World Health Expo is coming to an end – and we have a special guest at our stand. We were delighted to welcome Movsar. Borshchigov from Franziskus Hospital in Berlin.

Dr Borshchigov is a senior consultant in surgery and, in addition to his clinical expertise, is known for his great commitment to international humanitarian aid projects. Discussing current trends in medicine with him was a real highlight at the last day of the trade fair.
