Life has a way of delivering news that knocks the wind right out of you. Just a few weeks ago, I received the most heart-wrenching news - my mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and there's no treatment available. She said she only has months to live, not years. So I jumped on a plane and flew to Canada to spend some quality time with her and pretty much dropped off social media.

I couldn’t believe it. I was completely shocked. She's never sick, doesn't take any medication, doesn’t smoke or drink, eats the healthiest foods, stays thin, and is always active. This is a stark reminder that life can throw the unexpected at us in the blink of an eye and that our health should be our number 1 priority.

This experience has taught me the true value of every moment. We never really know what tomorrow or the future holds, and it's so clear to me now that we must really cherish every second we have. No more deferred gratification for life goals or secret desires. For who really knows what tomorrow may bring. A new war, a new pandemic, increasing climate change, death of a loved one … the list could go on.

The good thing is that my mom has no regrets and doesn't fear death. We would have loved for her to live well into her eighties, but for some inexplicable reason, this is her time. Today is my mom’s 72nd birthday and I want to take a moment to celebrate her and all our mothers.   

It's been incredibly hard to see my mother so ill, but I'm grateful to have this precious time together. We've laughed, we've cried, we've watched old classic films, looked at old photo albums, and shared memories from the different eras of our lives.

Our families, communities and friends are a great source of growth, connection, learning and love. Take a moment today to think about all the important people in your lives you are grateful for. ❤️🙏

In today's fast-paced world, stress, anxiety, and emotional burnout have become increasingly prevalent issues. Many people find themselves trapped in a cycle of negative thought patterns and behaviors, desperately seeking a way out.

Traditional therapies and talk therapies, while valuable, often take time to yield results. This is where Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) steps in, offering a groundbreaking approach to healing and personal growth.

But what really is RTT? RTT is a revolutionary therapeutic approach that was developed by the UK's number 1 Therapist Marisa Peer. It is designed to bring about rapid and lasting transformation by addressing the root causes of various emotional and psychological issues.

At its core, RTT combines the most effective principles of hypnotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, neuroplasticity and neuro-linguistic programming. This holistic blend of techniques creates a unique and highly effective therapeutic process.

Meet Marina, who is a good example of resilience and transformation. 👑 She was struggling for years with the fear of judgment, which led to self-doubt. This fear prevented her from fully embracing all her strengths and gifts.

But she made a remarkable turnaround! I was lucky to have Marina as a client and through a powerful Rapid Transformational Therapy session, she was able to embark on a journey of self-discovery where the veil of fear was lifted, revealing the root of her struggles buried deep within. Step 1: When you feel that familiar trigger rising within you, take a mindful pause. Breathe deeply, allowing yourself a moment to center and detach from the immediate emotional reaction. Remember, the pause creates the space for a thoughtful response. 🧘‍♀️

Step 2: Self-awareness is the key to understanding your triggers and responses better. Take time to analyze what triggers you and how you typically react. Journal your experiences to identify patterns and themes, empowering you to address them with intention. 📝

Step 3: Acknowledge the emotion triggered within you. Is it anger, frustration, or hurt? By naming the emotion, you gain a sense of control and are better equipped to manage it constructively. 🗣️

It's a fascinating psychological phenomenon where our minds struggle to hold contradictory thoughts, beliefs, or values at the same time. 🤔

For example, cognitive dissonance could occur when someone strongly values environmental conservation and is an advocate for reducing plastic waste. However, they frequently use single-use plastic products like water bottles, straws, and plastic bags in their daily life. This creates a conflict between their eco-conscious beliefs and their actions, leading to cognitive dissonance. 🌱
