Another season and another course.

As the new moon arrives, I’m warmly inviting you to the Illuminate Healing Arts Temple at Audre Lorde Strasse 40 for the new yoga and somatics course.

We will look for balance within together. Yoga equipment is provided at the studio. All humans welcome, all levels of practice.

Excited to invite you to this new series for a new year start.
This is for you if you want clarity of vision on your path, to live more authentically and from your centre.

Some of the questions we will ponder are:
Which parts of ourselves do we allow to be seen? Which do we hide? How can we see and acknowledge ourselves in our contradictions with compassion? How do we then move forward not from judgement, shame or guilt- but with peaceful ease and confidence?

It is a rich topic and we will dedicate 6 classes to it, until the end of February. As always, each class will come with its specific set of topics to ponder, full body movement, breathwork and mindfulness. We start with eye excercises and curiosity.

For the last four years, every Friday morning I show up and teach at my studio in Kreuzberg. My younger self is at awe with this level of commitment and the ease with which it comes to me now.

This class is an ever-expanding, evolving space filled with love and wonder. I look at myself when I started my yoga teacher journey back in 2016 and at me now and I am just filled with awe at all I’ve learned, the way I grew and shifted and deepened and shed. It’s all so beautiful. Seasons change- the tree in front shifts its colors and textures. The people come and go. Some, however stay throughout the years- as we breathe, feel, move and sound together through time 🙏

Today’s class was a reflection on Rainer Maria Rilke’s poem.

I live my life in widening circles
that reach out across the world.
I may not complete this last one
but I will give myself to it.
 
I circle around God, around the primordial tower.
I’ve been circling for thousands of years
and I still don’t know: am I a falcon,
a storm, or a great song?

Playing with the solidity of the stone and the fluidity of water, with shadow and light as old companions, with parts of a whole.

I’m taking this time off to settle into my new self, deeply changed by the recent experiences, grateful for the never-ending transmutation that is my life. Yet, as I talk to my family about what was and revisit my strong Serbian roots, I realize that I’ve been very much me all along ✨🦉Since the very young age, my values have been there, the soul was curious of the same questions. Oh, the endless mistery of being a human!

🪸Save the dates 🪸
In August we’re still on the topic of Power- acting from a place of inner harmony and living with truth and joy. These classes are engaging with the whole body- stability from ground up, taking the space in chest, listening to the belly, arms that can hold and let go, mind that is at peace. So far, it has been a vulnerable and beautiful exploration. Thank you to those of you who have been on the journey with me. Looking forward to see what we co-create as the series continues.

I will announce the September theme as it becomes clear in following weeks.

I have made my own drum! I’m going to hear its sound today for the first time. It was an incredible experience, an intensive process- both practically and emotionally, connecting to the spirits of the goat, the cow through their skin and repurposing it for another life of beauty, of sound and expression. Also, thank you to the women who shared the creative space and for her guidance.

What feels good to do from your intuition? How does it feel good to be now? How do you hear it with all the other noises of the modern world?

How do we clear the space in the body for the new? How do we release and initiate with will power and clear intentions? How does this resolve feel in your body? How do we integrate?

This class will play with doing and undoing, allowing things to end and begin in a new way. Our practice will illuminate patterns in relationship to the body, to our selves in general, and to others. All my classes are interested in the whole self- mindbody, heart and soul. This Friday, we will do lots of chest opening, unburdain neck & shoulders, release with Lion’s breath as an offering to the waning moon. Let’s release dominant body shapes and prepare to feel more in flow with natural tides, with clear NOs and clear YESs.
