I'm sorry to burst your bubble, my dear friends, kindred souls and darling readers, but unless we can create the mental health needed for truly sage leadership in this world, the wars will continue. The leadership of fear will continue with each new child born to mothers and fathers who never experienced nurturing love, violence-free care and the generosity of a universe of plenty. We have plenty of proof that there's enough of everything on this planet, there's no reason to be afraid of death, as it's one of the only things guaranteed to human life. It's so easy to see the reason for everything in hindsight, but who has the clarity, confidence and wisdom to act right in the middle of crisis? If I've learned anything in the past 9 months of zooming into life in Africa, it's that calm and clarity are the only tools worth sharpening. Don't you agree?
