YOGA REBELLION YOGA REBELLION is a yoga school in Berlin with two studios – Mitte and Neukölln Im Yoga rebellieren wir für die Freiheit, ganz wir selbst zu sein.

Für uns ist das Ziel des Lebens, dass wir uns völlig annehmen können, ohne einschränkende Ideen über uns und die Welt, die uns umgibt. Es ist die Freiheit, uns voll auszudrücken, ohne körperliche Einschränkungen und ohne davor Angst zu haben, von der Gesellschaft und/oder unserer Familie und Freunden verurteilt zu werden. Es geht um die Freiheit, mit dem Leben frei spielen zu können und dabei Dinge nicht zu ernst zu nehmen. To us the goal in life is to fully embrace who we are without any restricting beliefs and ideas we have about ourselves and the world at large. The freedom to express ourselves without physical constrains of the body or fearing judgement from society and/or our family and friends. It is the freedom to freely play with life, to do what we love doing and at the same time not to take things too seriously. Yoga ist eine Rebellion, aber diese Rebellion ist nicht gegen irgendetwas oder irgendjemand gerichtet. Wir streben nach mehr Gesundheit, mehr Flexibilität, mehr Stärke, mehr Frieden, mehr Glück, mehr Freude, mehr Dankbarkeit, mehr Akzeptanz, mehr Freundschaft, mehr Güte, mehr Ruhe, mehr Bescheidenheit, mehr Großzügigkeit, mehr Einsicht, mehr Selbstausdruck und ultimativ nach mehr Liebe. Yoga is a rebellion, but this rebellion is not against anybody or anything. In yoga we rebel for the freedom to fully being able to be ourselves. We rebel for more health, more flexibility, more strength, more peace, more happiness, more joy,
more grace, more gratitude, more acceptance, more friendship, more kindness, more calmness, more modesty, more generosity, more humility, more insight, more self expression and ultimately for more love. Durch die Yoga Praxis sind wir in der Lage, den Körper zu stärken und unseren Verstand von alten Ideen und Glaubenssätzen zu befreien. Wir sind aufmerksamer, mehr im Augenblick und ruhiger. Glück ist die Folge. Through the yoga practice we’re able to strengthen the body and clear our minds from old ideas and beliefs. We are more alert, more in the moment and more at peace. Happiness is the result.

PRENATAL YOGA — Mondays 13.15–14.15 & POSTNATAL YOGA — Mondays 14.30–15.30 with Kerstin Hurbain at YOGA REBELLION–Mitte

After returning from maternity leave, she brings a deeply personal perspective to her teaching. Having completed additional training in pre- and postnatal yoga, she creates a supportive space for women to navigate the physical and emotional journey of pregnancy and postpartum.

Her approach combines mindful movement, clear alignment, and a strong focus on body awareness — supporting each individual through this transformative phase.

We’re very happy to have Kerstin back at the studio.

We would also like to thank Reva for guiding these classes over the past year, and wish her all the best in her new role. A big thank you as well to Nadine for always stepping in and supporting when needed.

MOBILITY & FLEXIBILITY — Tuesdays 10–11.15 with Buket Elmas at YOGA REBELLION–Mitte

Movement has always guided Buket—from professional volleyball to performing as a dancer. After injuries shifted her path, she discovered the transformative power of yoga, evolving her practice from rehabilitation into a lifelong study of philosophy and flow. She blends Hatha, Vinyasa, mobility, and hand-balancing to encourage others to find their own strength—because movement is medicine.

MOBILITY & FLEXIBILITY—This class focuses on strengthening the body to support increased mobility, joint health, and long-term flexibility, with a strong core-oriented approach throughout. Each week alternates between an upper and lower body focus, incorporating mobility drills using a variety of props, such as yoga blocks and straps, to safely deepen movement, build strength, and support expanded ranges of motion.

You finish a Yin class and feel like moving a little more.
Or you’ve just taken a strong class—and all you want is to slow down, stretch, and stay a bit longer.

But then there’s the practical side: another Drop-In, another booking—maybe your pass is already used up for the day.

So we made it easier: every additional class on the same day is just 10 €*.

Mix and match your practice—movement and stillness, strength and softness, whatever feels right.

Looking forward to seeing you (again) on the mat.

*Only available in the studio. Before your next class starts, let the teacher know you’d like to continue with the reduced Drop-In (as long as the class is not fully booked). The classes do not need to be consecutive.

YOGA REBELLION is rooted in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga, while remaining open to the richness and diversity of many different yoga styles. Founder Carsten Fleck trained with world-renowned Ashtanga teachers such as Pattabhi Jois, Eddie Stern, and others, and has dedicated more than 25 years to the practice. Inspired by the classical Ashtanga system, he created YOGA REBELLION as a space where the familiar asanas are only one part of a deeper and more holistic approach to yoga. The classes bring together dynamic movement, conscious breathing, precise alignment, and mindful awareness.

MINDFUL FLOW — Sundays 15.30–17.00 with Sebastian Raffeis at YOGA REBELLION–Neukölln

Sebastian discovered Yoga as a practice to let go of anything that is keeping you from moving on. This may require a certain amount of discipline and trust, but begins with pure acceptance and may even be followed by relief. Letting go means to be willing to face whatever crosses your path and being aware of the chance to grow from it. He is glad to share his practice and give you an opportunity to experience the connection of body and mind. During his classes, Sebastian likes to give enough space for everyone to explore themselves free from expectations, opinions or doubts in order to remind ourselves of who we truly are.

MINDFUL FLOW—This flow contains both gentle and powerful movements in which focus and awareness of individual needs are practiced. With this combination of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, strength and flexibility are built while perception is explored. This class is welcome to anyone who would like to practice mindfulness at the end of the week, whether new to yoga or already experienced.
