Never let take trauma over your life. Why? Trauma really is a thief and takes away all happiness, all joy, all the good moments in your life. So when we talk about trauma, it’s of course something we cannot avoid. Life is as life is. Things happen, whether it happens in our pregnancy or maybe we have lost a pregnancy or other things happen in our life that leave us feeling hurt and really down. But here’s the thing. You cannot let trauma take over because trauma will, being unsolved, take over your brain and really start ruling your life. Look, everyone deserves to be happy, no matter what happened or has happened. Everyone deserves to be free. So when we look at trauma, of course, it’s part of the brain that constantly goes uhhhh and is not able to relax. And so other parts of the brain where all the happy memories are, are often not switched on. So what can we do? There’s a wonderful method called EMDR. EMDR was created in the 70s. A psychologist saw that when we look into a certain direction, our thoughts go this way. And when we look in other ways, it changes. EMDR is also lovingly called finger movement therapy. It’s a wonderful, wonderful way of releasing unwanted doubts, worries, and even trauma. Now I have worked with EMDR for many years because I had a trauma myself because I was part of the biggest earthquake that one can experience in Nepal. And so I know from first hand how it feels when you have trauma and actually how wonderful it feels when the trauma is resolved. So trust me, no one needs to get stuck in trauma. There are ways how you can step out of the picture, put it a bit more into the distance, and feel more relief. EMDR is a great way. Good morning. I’m almost ready to teach my postnatal pelvic floor class, and of course, this is a topic that is close to my heart. After having a baby, if you haven’t yet done your postnatal gymnastic yoga course, you really should start one. Why? Your pelvic floor has suffered significant strain, regardless of how you gave birth. Even the weight of pregnancy creates pressure on the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor is the foundation of your body; it supports everything, including your organs. Learning how to activate your pelvic floor and how to close the gap in your abdomen—which most of you will have after pregnancy—is vital for everything that follows in the coming years. Als Hebamme, Coach, Internationale Rednerin, Autorin und Gründerin der Elements of Birth unterstütze ich seit über 30 Jahren werdende Eltern und Profies im Bereich rund um Schwangerschaft und Geburt mit meinem Wissen. In Kursen und Einzelsitzungen zeige ich Paaren und Einzelfrauen wie sie einen angstfreie, entspannte und glückliche Geburt erleben können. Sie verlassen den Kurs mit dem Wissen das es ihnen erlaubt informierte Entscheidungen vor und bei der Geburt zu treffen. Zwei Kontinente, drei Länder – und alles von Hausgeburt bis zur klinischen Geburtshillfe, von Wasser- zu Landgeburten – haben mir tiefe Einblicke in das Geburtsgeschehen erlaubt. Dies teile ich in meinen Kursen mit den Teilnehmnerinnen genauso wie viele ganz praktische Tipps und Tricks. Durch viele, auch internationale, Zusatzausbildungen kann ich persönlich angepasste Behandlungen anbieten: Hypnose, NLP, chinesische Medizin, Yoga und mehr und dass alles mit fundiertem medizinischen Wissen. Geburt ist der Start ins Leben. Jeder verdient den besten Start !
