Great message for birthing women 🙏🏼

For the pregnant mamas, I know it’s hard. This isn’t the way you envisioned your pregnancy, whether it’s your first, second, third or tenth. No baby showers, no social contact, fear of illness, fear of being alone, fear of birthing alone. It’s okay if you’re angry mama, this wasn’t the world you planned on birthing your baby into. This wasn’t the way it was supposed to be. It’s okay if you cry mama, because it’s okay to grieve the ‘should haves’ and the ‘I wish it was different’ - even though you know others have it worse, and you want to keep everyone safe.
It’s okay to be scared mama. I’s okay to be fearful. It’s okay to be anxious. There has never been a guideline of how to be pregnant during a global pandemic crisis. It’s okay to be dreading things mama, because you know postpartum won’t be as you planned either. It’s okay to feel whatever you need to feel right now, because millions are right here with you.
But in all of this, know that better days are coming. Not tomorrow and not next week. But they’re coming. And the minute your baby finds their way into this beautiful, chaotic, strange world, everything will make sense.
Let this baby be your medicine - the medicine for your soul, your heart, and for the midwife who is present at your birth. Because babies are miracles, and miracles really do exist. So mama, it’s okay to not be excited right now, and to be feeling unsure. All of us mamas are feeling the same. You are not alone, and you are going to get through this.
Millions of strong, powerful mamas (as you are) will be spiritually by your side, birthing babies at the same time all over the world, all through this season. And mama, it’s okay to be happy too, because there’s truly no real way to feel right now. We'e cheering for you mama. You've got this.
