👉🏼 Swipe for some details. Following up on yesterday’s story, I’m excited to share that we’re actually leading this trend in 2025 by example…well and by choice. More than every second person has consulted us for pain and injury prevention. My last stats on this matter were from Q2 2020 and I only remember it because it was quite depressing back then to almost entirely see patients after an injury or disease. Back then only 12% were consulting us for preventive reasons. I’m happy for this drastic improvement. Now, take those numbers with a grain of salt as we only work with private health insurances and pocket payers. Public health insurances restrict you far more but slowly and steadily even they have spent more on health prevention than ever before (still very little).

I hardly ever look back, but when it comes to books and considering that it took me more than 5 years researching, writing, designing, editing, filming and partnering to finish those 2 books, I’m proud and relieved and the same time. My latest book has just been released. “Der Gesunde Athlet - Training mit der Kettlebell” deep dives into the matter on physical training, attempts to make you understand your own biomechanics and helps you perform well and pain free. We analyzed scientific literature around centenarians and longevity as a whole and attempted to come up with a road map that may lead you towards a long lasting and functional body.

Thanks to everyone involved in the process. And a special thanks to my patients who shaped me beyond belief. ❤️💪🏼

Everyday you break a sweat due to physical activities is a day you took preventive measures against the four leading causes of death. Medical and therapeutic professionals tend to get caught up in little details and a short-term vision. We tend to care more about the perfect knee alignment and the exact yoga pose as stated by whatever holy book instead of making people understand what their long-term outcome ought to be. You want to have a GP, or a physiotherapist or a trainer for that matter who cares the most about what your cardiovascular fitness and health should look like in 5, 10 and even 20 years from now on. Simplification is the key: work out in a way that makes you sweat and within an intensity that allows you talk but makes you not want to talk. Read this again. Get active now!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years? This famous interview elimination question is as unspecific as it gets. Obviously it’s meant to challenge your work ethics but I’d always reply “healthier, more resilient and at the lowest risk for disease as possible”. Granted, a very honorable yet unspecific answer as well but hey, he asked the stupid question not me. It is so common to have a plan for the future in terms of finances and living but so uncommon to have a future roadmap for personal health. I have started asking my patients this question with great success as it’s making them aware of potential lifestyle changes, making them preventively consult for a blood count, diabetes scan, cancer scan and physical health check up. I kindly push you towards answering this question yourself in great detail. If you need any help, get in contact, but don’t expect things to float until a diagnosis is being brought to you. Be smarter (and buy my latest book)!

Brushing your teeth daily is prevention. Wearing a helmet on a motorcycle is prevention too. Seemingly, we have no issues with grasping and accepting those preventive measures. However, we do struggle greatly with maintaining daily doses of push ups, running, lifting weights and eating less and healthy, which is nothing but prevention too for equally vulnerable bodily systems.

Having said that, it is clearly not too late to own those preventive measures if you’re interested in staying healthy as long as possible. The healthy life expectancy in Germany sits around 66 years of age before illness and decline become the pace maker. Excuse my straight words but some of you really need that. 💪🏼

Whenever you allocate more time and energy to physical activities and exercises than you usually do, you’ll experience enormous internal changes, mentally and physically. People tend to praise the activity or exercise itself to the highest, which has happened to running, yoga or CrossFit way too often. From a biological point of view, this is all just energy expenditure that you attach emotions to. Never feel obligated to do one thing because many others are doing it. You’ll receive great changes and results with any other exercise or activity as well. So, get the funk active 😁💪🏼.

Züge fahren nicht, es wird wieder etwas kälter und wieder ein‘ Haufen E-Mails. Ein typischer Montag eben, stimmt’s! Umso wichtiger, dass wir uns mehr um unsere mentale und körperliche Gesundheit kümmern. Mit über 600 views der gestrigen Story dachte ich, ich lad den Krankenkassen Tipp noch einmal hoch. Bitte denkt dran, eure Ärzte und Therapeuten sind Dienstleister. Fordert euch euer Recht auf Behandlung ein, auch wenn es präventiv ist! 💪🏼

Liebe Freunde, Bekannte & Follower!

Wir wollen endlich raus! Raus aus dem tristen Wetter, raus aus den alltäglichen Sorgen & Pflichten und raus, raus auf die Straßen, die Parks und ins Grüne.

🙌🏼 Wir laden dich herzlich ein, deinen Weg zum gesunden Athleten zu beginnen bzw. fortzusetzen mit unserer Ausfallschritt-Challenge. Wir möchten jedem die Teilnahme ermöglichen, egal ob jung, alt, fit, unfit, dick oder dünn. Jeder bekommt die Möglichkeit kleine Preise zu gewinnen und wird physiotherapeutisch begleitet, um mögliche Verletzungsgefahren so minimal wie möglich zu halten. Hierbei geht es weniger um den Wettbewerb untereinander, dafür aber viel mehr um deine persönliche Herausforderung, dich immer wieder zu motivieren binnen von 4 Wochen soviel qualitativ hochwertige Ausfallschritte zu absolvieren wie möglich. Für manche bedeutet das mehrere hundert zu schaffen, für manche sogar mehrere tausend. Die Menge ist zweitrangig, das durchhalten zählt!

📍Im Auftaktmeeting via Zoom am 01.04.23 halten Jörn und ich einen Vortrag zum Bewegungsmuster Ausfallschritt, erörtern die damit verbundenen Ziele und Vorteile, sprechen über Verletzungsprophylaxe, Anpassung des Gelenkapparats und überprüfen, wie gut du diese Bewegung zu Beginn der Challenge ausführen kannst, um einen objektiven und subjektiven Vergleich zum Ende der Challenge anstellen zu können.

Die Teilnahme ist für jeden kostenlos, jedoch musst du dich vorab via email an info@movewell.training anmelden.
