Last week was a great one for innovation in interventional pain therapy — not only on the international stage at American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting and ECR by European Society of Radiology, but also directly in clinical practice.

Last week, Dr. med. Anja Buerfeind and Dr. med. Gökce Özel successfully completed multiple PRT procedures in SpezOrtho clinic in Bergisch Gladbach using the combined Newtom CBCT system and the Laser Robot Arm

Their work is another clear demonstration of how robotic laser guidance and high‑resolution imaging elevate precision and workflow in everyday interventions.

Innovation truly sparks not on event stages, but in the hands of big profis, whose expertise makes this milestone even stronger:
- Dr. Anja Buerfeind is a specialist at SpezOrtho who combines orthopaedic expertise with physiotherapy and acupuncture for truly holistic care..
- Dr. med. Gökce Özel is a certified D‑Arzt and leads a modern orthopaedic clinic Spezrtho with deep experience in image‑guided procedures.

As always, the ATLAS medical technologies team — in this case represented by Mr. Tayfun Şen — stands alongside the clinicians, supporting them in implementing and scaling this innovative workflow for spine treatment and beyond.

Vienna, 06th of March 2026

Dear , LaserRobotArm is rapidly entering interventional radiology as a clinically relevant tool, having been presented at MIOLive in Rome in January and now - on the Viennese stage at .

Its robotic guidance enables oncologists and radiologists to perform tumor‑targeting procedures with greater delicacy, consistency, and sub‑millimetric precision than manual techniques allow. By automating needle alignment and trajectory control, the system shortens procedure times and creates a smoother, more predictable workflow that supports safer, faster, and more confident interventions.

Happy to push health tech frontiers with the Experts from Philips, Siemens Healthineers, Planmed (belonging to Planmeca ) , GE HealthCare and many other great partners!

Tomorrow is the last chance to catch up in Vienna, which we would happily use - just give us a sign and drop a message to Timo Krüger , Fabien Julen, or Juliana Obynochnaya.

WHX Dubai 2026 is over, leaving Timo Krüger, Fabien Julen, and all the ATLAS medical technologies Team big happiness and huge pile of promises to follow up, visit, discuss, execute, and collaborate.

Laser Robot Arm with its orthopedic and interventional radiology applications has caused massive and impressive feedback at the exhibition floor.

In this sense, what makes Dubai so special is the scale of curiosity and ambition here — a region where innovation meets fertile ground: forward‑thinking government programs, accessible funding, and a corporate culture that embraces bold ideas. Combine that with the innovation we bring, and the momentum becomes simply unbeatable.

A huge thank‑you to the WHX Dubai organizers — Dubai Health, and INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions — for creating such an inspiring platform. And of course, to our fantastic colleagues at Planmed (Jan Moed, Harry Sijnstra, Jan Vilen, Mari Varjonen) with whom we shared every moment of this exciting journey.

The LaserRobotArm story continues… and it’s only getting better.

Dubai, UAE — 10 February 2026

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum opened yesterday WHX Dubai Dubai 2026 by reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to innovation, resilience, and future‑ready healthcare systems.

Reflecting on the event, Fabien Julen, Head of Business Development at ATLAS medical technologies, noted the exceptional speed at which innovation is adopted in the Middle East — a sharp contrast to Europe’s more gradual, regulation‑driven approach. More on his insights - in the video.

Within this landscape, Mr. Julen and Mr. John Noun, medical innovation marketing consultant, presented the latest iteration of our Laser Robot Arm, a precision‑guidance robotic system now expanding beyond orthopedics into minimally invasive procedures.

Showcased on the Planmed booth, the system demonstrates seamless integration with advanced scanning platforms. LaserRobotArm supports treatments planned from CT and cone‑beam CT imaging, helping interventional radiologists and oncologists identify the safest and most precise access path inside the human body.

We are very grateful to our Planmed colleagues - Jan Moed, Harry Sijnstra, Jan Vilen and Mari Varjonen - for sharing this experience — along with vision and action — here in Dubai and beyond.

If you would like to discuss in detail on robotic technologies in the clinical environments and more, drop us a line:

Laser Robot Arm is heading to the 50th Arab Health Exhibition, now under the WHX Dubai umbrella in Dubai.

With AI, MedTech and robotics at the center this year, it’s clear: clinics need to be modernized. They need one precise, digital backbone.

And LaserRobotArm is exactly the binding tool that was missing before: It unifies diagnostics and treatment in orthopedics and interventional radiology. LaserRobotArm guides the surgeons, based on the patients' data, which is smoothly received and analyzed by its AI-driven software due to full compatibility with imaging systems like Planmed.

See it live next week in Dubai.

Your questions and meeting requests always make us happy. Drop us ( Timo Krüger, Fabien Julen ) a DM.

Our work with LaserRobotArm started in orthopedics, where it proved how much precision and support it can bring to surgeons in the operating room. But its true potential is now becoming visible.

After being presented at MIOLive, LaserRobotArm stayed at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS — where it is now being integrated into the interventional radiology and oncology department. This means the same technology that helps surgeons treat bones can now assist doctors during diagnostics and minimally invasive cancer procedures. It supports treatments planned from CT or cone‑beam CT imaging and helps radiologists and oncologists find the safest and most precise path to the exact spot inside the human body.

The same stability.
The same accuracy.
The same trust when it matters most.

We are deeply grateful to Prof. Roberto Iezzi and the entire clinical team for their confidence and collaboration.

For clinics, for doctors, and especially for patients, this development represents a meaningful step forward — made possible by the dedication of our team, especially Tayfun Şen and Fabien Julen, guided by the vision of our CEO, Dr. Timo Krüger.

Through all the brilliant partnerships we build, our customers remain the true gems at the top 💎.
This week marks a new highlight — for private patients, for our partners, and for us.

We’ve opened the door to the Kaprun functional healthcare network in Austria, known for short waiting times and rapid access to MRI diagnostics (yes, something we in Germany can still learn from 🙂), flexible and highly professional treatments, and strong preventive‑medicine programs. The real powerhouses in radiology, orthopedics, and emergency care! 🩻

These qualities make us especially pleased that our Laser Robot Arm has earned the trust of the Kaprun team - https://www.mrt-kaprun.at/ - and is now part of their value proposition in the beautiful Alpine town of Kaprun 🏔️.

Installed alongside a NEWTOM Official Newton 7G, Laser Robot Arm forms a CBCT‑guided workflow for percutaneous procedures — now fully operational and enabling advanced image‑guided interventions with a strong focus on spinal infiltrations. 🦾

A warm thank‑you to the experts: Dr. Rudolf Auen-Scheiblhofer, Erich Hengst (Medix Medical), Celbeqiri (Newtom/celfa), Baeza Herrera, and all colleagues involved in this project 🥰 .
