Coconut oil
The use of coconut oil is so respected that it was and still it is an important part of Ayurvedic medicine since 1500 BC. There are a number of Ayurvedic herbal medicines with coconut oil as the base, that are used predominantly externally and also internally for many health conditions. It is sweet in taste, bulk promoting and strengthening in nature, helps in nourishing hair and promoting hair growth also removes excess of pitta and vata dosha.
Ayurveda has describes Coconut oil as follows:
•It is a natural coolant.
•Improves hair quality and strength
•Promotes hair growth.
•It is a natural aphrodisiac.
•Nourishes the under-nourished body tissues.
•Heal wounds.
•Calms Vata and Pitta.

•Anti-stress
Coconut oil is beneficial for weight loss (obesity), Alzheimer’s disease, Heart diseases, Hair fall, Skin diseases, Tooth decay, in case of Sunburn, Chronic fatigue, Thyroid disorders, Acidity, Acne or Pimples, Reflux and Hyperacidity, etc...
For a healthy individual, coconut oil is very good to be included in a regular diet, but in limited quantities.
Coconut oil on a day-to-day mental care:
On a day to day life, whenever you feel anxious, not able to concentrate (say, ahead of exams), or cannot sleep properly, feeling hyperacidity, not getting concentration during your meditation or Yoga session, wherein you want the mind to calm down, relax and focus, then you can take 1 – 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and follow it up with half a cup of warm water.
