I was invited as a seminar instructor for the second time by Grandmaster HWANG JIN Sasung, the pioneer of ITF Taekwon-Do in Japan and the current director of the Japan Taekwon-Do Association, to conduct seminars for instructors and black belts of the ITF Japan Taekwon-Do Association in 2014.
During these seminars, I could see the passion, sincerity, and seriousness in the eyes and attitudes of all the Japanese Taekwon-Do instructors and black belts who trained alongside me, sweating it out.
Grandmaster HWANG JIN Sasung, a second-generation Zainichi Korean, has worked tirelessly to establish a solid foundation for future generations of Zainichi Koreans and Japanese citizens, so they can live in a better environment. Through the spirit of ITF Taekwon-Do, he has strengthened both body and mind, contributing to the spread and development of ITF Taekwon-Do in Japan.
He is a living legend who has helped the Japan Taekwon-Do Association expand across all of Japan. Grandmaster HWANG is a figure who always provides care, encouragement, and love to his students, like a great father figure.
During my time with him, I always gain valuable lessons. His presence consistently reminds me that the foundation of Japanese Taekwon-Do in all of Japan has been established because of his efforts. I am truly happy and proud to witness his legacy reflected in so many Japanese Taekwon-Do instructors.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude once again for being invited as a seminar instructor, allowing me to have such a wonderful experience.
