We are proud to celebrate the achievement of our colleague Elisabeth Jordan, who successfully completed the certificate program “Customs and Foreign Trade Management” at Technische Hochschule Augsburg.
This two-semester part-time program deepens expertise in customs and international trade within global supply chains and aligns closely with the EU competence framework for the customs sector.
With this qualification, Sissi has further expanded her knowledge in this complex and important field, strengthening not only her own professional profile but also enhancing Particle Metrix’s international competence in and foreign trade management.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀

Together with our Italian distribution partner AMIRA, we hosted a workshop on Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis ( ) for interested customers.

Bertrand Damart introduced all participants to EV characterization and the capabilities of the new Particle Metrix ZetaView® Evolution, after which everyone put theory into practice with hands-on experiments.
The attendees explored measurements in scatter and fluorescence modes and gained practical experience with EV staining using our Tetraspanin Kits. Seeing how quickly everyone picked up the techniques and engaged with them was truly motivating.
The workshop seamlessly combined theory, practical skills, and group discussions, creating an exciting and interactive experience.

The ZetaView® Evolution is the ideal instrument for both qualitative and quantitative analysis of extracellular vesicles ( ) across various matrices.

For reliable downstream analyses, it’s crucial not only to know the 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗩𝘀 in your sample but also their 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀.
Most isolation methods are size-based, meaning they often co-isolate other nanoscale particles such as lipoproteins. In contrast, immunospecific isolation captures only target EVs — but provides no information about overall sample purity.

Meanwhile, pure particle analysis methods like TRPS detect all particles indiscriminately, leading to a massive overestimation of EV numbers.

💡 With ZetaView® Evolution, you can measure both:
· The total particle concentration (via scatter detection) and
· The specific EV subpopulations (via fluorescence channels, F-NTA).
This dual detection enables true assessment of sample purity.

For EV analysis in blood, we recommend a dual-staining approach using a membrane dye together with our F-NTA Tetraspanin Antibody Kit.
This allows:
· Visualization of all biological nanoparticles
· Identification of potential contaminants
· Specific staining and quantification of EVs — all in a single measurement, within one minute.

Last week, Particle Metrix hosted an intensive New Product Introduction Training in Munich, bringing together service, sales, and application specialists from around the world. 🌍
Participants from 12 countries joined us to get hands-on with the new ZetaView® Evolution - exploring its enhanced hardware, the intuitive operation of our redesigned software, and next-generation performance.

Over five packed days, we shared knowledge, tackled challenges, exchanged ideas, and learned from each other.
But beyond the training, it was also a wonderful opportunity to build and strengthen friendships across our international Particle Metrix family.
A huge thank-you to everyone for your enthusiasm, collaboration, and team spirit - we're proud of this strong international network that's driving the future of nanoparticle analysis forward!
