I am a qualified BSc (Hons) Nutritional Scientist & therapist. I am currently specializing in sports nutrition but consult all those wanting to improve their well-being and nutritional habits. I have always believed in the 80/20 rule. When you go on a diet or start to count calories you are creating restriction in your mind that you will naturally try to break away from no matter how hard you try.

By eating in a way that you listen to the needs of your body and allow yourself treats and to enjoy them every now and then, you remove the restriction and make the process a lot more joyful.

Our Story

Welcome to Basecamp Nutrition! This is a nutrition website created by Michelle Reed & Tom Ettlich. Michelle is a qualified BSc (Hons) Nutritional Scientist and Nutritional Therapist from the Centre for Nutritional Education & Lifestyle Management (CNELM), affiliated with Middlesex University), UK.

She is currently specialising in sports nutrition and in doing so completing the Certificate of Integrative Sports Nutrition (CISN), UK and her MSc in High Performance Sport at Saarland University, Germany. Tom is an ex professional mountain biker currently working at Canyon Bicycles and is qualified in Economics, Sports Economics and Sports Management with a focus on competitive sport. Together it is a perfect combo to learn more about healthy living and nutrition with a focus on sports nutrition and get views of health-related products and supplements.
