Mums with Pelvic Girdle Pain/ P***s Symphysis Dysfunction! I have another Announcement....🥁🥁🥁

💥 I am now offering my one-to-one support sessions on a donation basis! It used to be £40 - I have SHREDDED that rate⚡️ because I want as many women as possible to be able to access the support they need.

💚We know that 20% of pregnant women experience PGP. We also know that the majority of them do not get the support they need. PGP is linked to depression, anxiety, insomnia, and reduced quality of life. This is no way to experience pregnancy and it’s certainly no way to enter into motherhood when your body is already hugely depleted. Keeping ahead of your pain throughout pregnancy by using a range of good strategies to manage it is crucial. If it runs away with you it can be challenging to come back from. Often we don’t listen to our bodies until it’s too late and the pain has taken hold. I do not want women to have this experience because their symptoms were minimized by themselves and/ or others.

🧡What are the sessions about? The sessions are intended to be helpful and practical. They are for pregnant and post-partum mums regardless of how long you have had PGP symptoms. It may be you are unsure if you have PGP, have just had a diagnosis, have been suffering for a long time or maybe you are feeling in crisis about your PGP symptoms. During the session, we will delve into your particular experience of PGP and I can guide you to formulate a plan for managing your symptoms. This will be include a mind-body approach because that is the only way to address and manage pain.

🌱Aligning with the principles of Nature🌴 This year I decided to do away with a typical set pricing model for online courses and make my PGP Pain Relief Mini-Course pricing more flexible. I want as many women as possible to be able to access it so that they feel supported, validated and inspired to move forward with their PGP and manage it rather than struggle and suffer with it. The mini-course is now available on a donation basis. You can choose the price you pay beyond the minimum donation.

I have done this because living and coping in a pandemic has really shaken things up on this planet and many people are really struggling. I see it that the principles by which we have lived are starting to fall away. I believe we will benefit and thrive when we can align our economy more with the principles of nature, where nothing is fixed. We need to come from a place of love and for me, this means being as flexible and inclusive as much I can be at the present time.

So with the course, the minimum price is for those that are financially pressured and would not otherwise be able to afford it. Please understand that the minimum price is a gift from me because it doesn't cover the work that has gone into creating the course. I am very happy to give this gift for those that really need it. By donating more..... and the closer you pay to the highest amount, the more you support me in my work supporting women with PGP - this is my passion and purpose and I have a lot more to give. By paying the higher price, you enable me to continue to offer resources for free or at flexible prices so that those with financial difficulties can afford to access them. You support me in being able to increase my offerings and gifts, which in times like these feels very important. I am so grateful to everyone who walks alongside me.

Go gently and much love to you all

What with....(in no tidy order (F*ck tidy at this point!) and associated desirable treats).....

🍫my job as a Therapist
🎂Teaching
🍭“Break-time” entertainment and field trips to the park (again)
🧁Preparing a million meals and snacks to make (child and pets) - so much eating going on!
🍡Mothering stuff
🍬Being a wife stuff
🍩Dog walking
🍿Battle (Royals 😆 ) about time spent playing Fortnight and resisting throwing money at V-bucks in exchange for peace
🍦Extra household management meetings to prevent even more domestic chaos
🍪Avoiding the media....Then checking the news then filtering out misinformation from the media, then avoiding it all again
🧁🧁trying to eat well
🍨Moving my body (🧘‍♀️ except all I want is savasana)
🍩Doing my meditation (except this ends in nodding off 😴 )
🍰Finding a space in my home to be alone in silence for three minutes
🍬Breathing rather than holding my breath all day long and wishing to god I was on a beach on a tropical Island 🏖🏝🌊🐬🐠🦋🐵☀️🍍🧉
.....And shockingly wondering whether everyone else is nailing it and it’s only me that finds this list overwhelming

Anyone else feeling it?

So here we are in 2021. I am excited! Yes, we still have COVID and there is so much that goes with it which is different for many of us. It remains a big topic.....

One of the lessons for me in 2020 was to better understand and embrace nature. The depth of healing and growing that comes if we open our eyes and look around at what Mother Nature offers us is incredible. It has a certain significance for me in that I have recognized how relevant nature is in treating Pelvic Girdle Pain.

Since September I have been tuning into, learning about and adopting the protocols of Anthony William, Medical Medium . He discusses the healing power of nature in health conditions. I share this here because it is an important aspect of who I am and the healing approaches I am open to. Science, medicine, East and West, natural models and metaphysical and many more! I am up for all of it. I use a mind-body approach to managing my Pelvic Girdle Pain and I will continue to seek out and be open to different ways. I have a lot of faith and hope that there are many opportunities to treat this condition. It is my truth to talk about all that I learn and experience so that you can include it in your life, if you choose.

I will talk about my journey with the Medical Medium this year, on here along with a lot of other Pelvic Girdle Pain information and tools both psychological and physical as well as my offerings. There will be new offerings which I think you will like!

Another massive development for me begins this month -I am going to be creating some serious magic with 💫 🔥 ♐️ 😁 Stay tuned!

🧡💚Diagnosis of Pelvic Girdle Pain 🧡💚

💥 PGPQ - Pelvic Girdle Pain Questionnaire for the assessment of PGP. Did you know that there is a reliable way to assess your activity limitations and symptoms of PGP? I think this would so helpful for many women with PGP/SPD to know about for a number of reasons. It would validate there experience of having PGP and reassure them that it is a condition that has been given consideration, that it matters to the healthcare system and that there are ways to assess and treat it.

I am really interested to know how many mums have heard of the questionnaire or completed it?

To healthcare practitioners, do you use this tool in your practice?

PGP/SPD and the Sacral Chakra – PART 1

I wanted to just dip into the spiritual aspect of the pelvis and how our experience of PGP/SPD might be considered in relation to understandings of chakral anatomy.

It was suggested to me that my PGP might be due to a blockage in my sacral chakra. That may well be true, and I have certainly done a lot of reflection, therapy and a multitude of other amazing and helpful healing treatments to rebalance this chakra, but still I manage my pain. PGP/SPD is not necessarily due to a blockage in the sacral chakra but I believe it can create a blockage. I think it is useful to notice how PGP impacts the power of this chakra and how this in turn can make us feel stuck, frustrated, anxious and low or…..blocked!

Below is a summary of what the Sacral Chakra represents. When you read it, think about how your PGP is affecting this energy centre:

💫The Sacral Chakra is your passion and pleasure centre and it is located in the pelvic area. This chakra supports us in experiencing our lives through feelings and sensations. It is the centre of feeling, emotion, pleasure, sensuality, intimacy, and connection.

✨The energy of this chakra allows you to let go, to move, and to feel change and transformation occurring within your body. It allows you to experience this moment as it is, in its own fullness.

🌟The sacral chakra is also your centre of creativity. Passion is the fuel of creative energy. Everything you create, a poem, a drawing, or a meal, originates from the energy of your sacral chakra. It is also where your fertility originates - conceiving a child is a creative process.

⭐️The sacral chakra has feminine energy and its element is water🌊. It is symbolised by a flower and a moon🌜 because it teaches us to go with the flow and let go of control and guilt.

If you consider how your pain interferes with all the above aspects of the sacral chakra, can you see how much of an impact PGP can have on the essence of who we are and how we experience our lives?
AND…
How our emotional world and our connection and intimacy with our loved ones is deeply affected?

Go gently mamas, having PGP is really hard🧡💚🧡💖

The common framework to understanding pain is the biopsychosocial perspective.

💚Biological
💚Psychological
💚Social

We all have different biological and genetic make-ups, this coupled with our different life experiences & influences determines how we manage & cope with our world.

Pain is worse when the three domains aren't balanced and this is different for everyone because we are all unique individuals.
