: Andreas Golinski is Head of Procurement at our German HQ in and has been working for ACL since the company’s founding in 1997.

💡 What are the tasks of the procurement team?

The procurement team plans and manages the on-time supply of all high-quality components to secure the scheduled production of ACL products such as OR-PC®, OR-MD®, and OR-CONSOLE®. Therefore, it negotiates prices, delivery terms, and framework agreements with suppliers and logistics partners while ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001. The team is also responsible for the long-term optimization of procurement processes and inventory levels.

In addition, Andreas is the best and trusted organizer for delicious catering at ACL’s company events.

💡 What are the tasks of the research and development team?

The development of the ACL products like OR-PC®, OR-MD®, and OR-CONSOLE®, requires a close link between the requirements of everyday clinical practice and the technical implementation under strict regulatory standards, like IEC 60601 which define aspects such as electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility and hygiene. Therefore, the focus is on our customers with their individual needs in terms of performance, reliability, and usability.

The R&D department captures these requirements in collaboration with the sales team as well as the product and project office. Our mechanical and electrical engineering experts then analyze these requirements in detail and translate them into customized configurations or new solutions. The result is our high-performance, durable, and safe ACL products that have become indispensable in modern medicine.

💡 What is important for transforming customers' ideas into new, innovative product solutions?

The development process requires a high level of technical expertise, the implementation of technical innovations in interdisciplinary collaboration between the customer, the project team, and the development department, as well as the ability to create ACL product configurations according to customer needs that meet both functional and regulatory requirements.

Yesterday evening, ACL was honored as the winner of the “Via Oeconomica 2025” business award in the ballroom of Leipzig's Old Town Hall in front of numerous guests from the worlds of business, politics, science, and culture. The award is presented annually by the City of Leipzig and the business association "Gemeinsam für Leipzig". Our CEO Thomas Wollesky was delighted to accept the award, as it is given to companies with national appeal, loyalty to their location, innovative strength, and a positive influence on the labor market.
