Scrolling on social media lately feels a little like we’ve lost the plot. (...) I think it bears repeating: There is always a third way. If we don’t like the options presented to us, we can choose differently. We can simply not spend our money with large companies. We can boycott organizations that only seek to extract/pollute. We can support small, indie, soulful creators and writers and builders and artists and poets and record stores and developers… We can co-create with our friends and mutuals what it is we wish to see in this world (instead of what we’ve been given).
I know, it might sound simple but it’s not easy. And I know it takes energy and devotion. And I also know we’re all exhausted…
That’s where my specific niche comes in. Because being well-rested, nourished, energized, and ready to change the world starts with listening to our bodies. Trusting our symptoms to tell us a story about our overall well-being (nervous system, immune system, hormone health, all of it). Moving in cycles — that is with the ups and downs of our cycle, instead of against them. Not questioning our own power when we’re follicular. Being unabashedly unashamed when we’re ovulating. Resting more when we’re luteal. Raging when we’re pre-menstrual. And dreaming when we’re menstrual…
Friend, I believe this one thing with all my heart and soul:
We deserve menstrual health tools that are not owned by corporations, advertisers, or political agendas. We deserve tools that tell the truth...

“I asked ChatGPT about my period cramps…”
And honestly? I get it. When doctors dismiss us, gaslight us, or treat female bodies as “too hormonal,” we go looking for answers anywhere we can.
But here’s the truth no one tells you: AI learns from the same biased medical system that ignored women’s health in the first place. So when you ask an LLM about your cycle, your PMS, your ovulation, your cramps, your endometriosis, your PCOS…you’re not getting a neutral, all-knowing opinion. You’re getting the same old male-default research in a friendlier tone.
And that’s exactly why menstrual health, cycle tracking, and body literacy still matter.
Because your body deserves more than a predictive text machine built on centuries of erasure.
If you’re craving a way to:
🩸 understand your cycle
🌙 learn how ovulation actually works
🔥 reduce cramps + PMS
✨ feel more at home in your body
🌿 reclaim body trust
📚 learn real hormonal health (not TikTok myths)
…you need tools designed for & by menstruating people — not just repackaged patriarchy.
That’s why I built Baba Yaga Cycle Coach:
A feminist, cycle-first, privacy-safe period tracker and cycle coaching app that actually teaches you how your body works.
And because it’s the Red Weekend, you can get the Annual Plan for $4.99 for your first year!
Full access. All features. Zero ads.
A safe home for your cycle data — and your power.

Most period apps just tell you when you’ll bleed.
Baba Yaga tells you what your body’s trying to say.

Because your cycle isn’t a calendar event...it’s your body’s feedback loop.
Your hormones shift. Your energy changes. Your needs evolve.
And your app should actually keep up with that.

That’s why we built Baba Yaga: the feminist, holistic period tracking app that teaches you how to read your body’s signals and live in sync with your own rhythm.

Most people think holistic health means green smoothies, supplements, and a morning routine.
But real holistic health is remembering that your body isn’t a project, it’s a relationship.

It’s about listening instead of fixing. Integrating instead of optimizing.
It’s about knowing your hormones, your stress, your rhythm...not because you’re trying to be “better,” but because you already are whole.

That’s what I explore in my latest blog post, “Holistic Health: Meaning, Definition & How to Practice It.”
And it’s exactly what the Baba Yaga Cycle Coach app was built for: practical, feminist, actually safe cycle tracking that helps you reconnect with your own rhythm.

Most of us grew up knowing almost nothing about our menstrual cycle — except that it was supposed to be inconvenient.

A menstrual cycle coach helps you unlearn that conditioning.
To understand your hormones as powers, not problems.
To track your body’s patterns for real health — not just fertility or symptom control.
And to reconnect with the deep rhythm your body’s always had.

That’s what my latest blog post unpacks:
→ What a menstrual cycle coach actually does
→ Why this work matters for your body, your confidence, and your choices
→ And how the Baba Yaga Cycle Coach app brings this wisdom to your fingertips.

Healing isn’t a trend.
It’s the slow, radical act of coming back into relationship with your body — especially if that body bleeds.

It’s not face masks or five-step plans. It’s remembering that your body was never broken — just colonized, medicalized, and shamed into forgetting its own rhythm.

That’s what “Healing 101” is about — my latest Substack piece on what holistic health actually means. Beyond the buzzwords. Beyond capitalism. Beyond shame.

If you’ve ever felt like your period is trying to tell you something, this one’s for you.

They say we “ruined the workplace.”
But the truth is, we were never meant to fit into a system that punishes rest, worships productivity, and fears the body.

We bleed. Every month, we live the rhythm of life and death, the original cycle. And that makes us ungovernable by linear logic, quarterly profits, and the myth of constant growth.

Our bodies have always been a threat to empire because they remember what the earth remembers: ebb, flow, decay, renewal.
Nature’s law, not man’s order.
So yes, maybe we have ruined things.
We ruined the illusion that control is power.
We ruined the fantasy that you can suppress what’s cyclical and still call it life.
We ruined the lie that your worth depends on output, compliance, or silence.
If that’s ruin, then let’s keep ruining.

Let’s burn the old systems and bleed new ones into being.

Let’s remember that the cycle itself — menstruation, ovulation, rest, creation — is not a flaw to be managed, but a map back to our wholeness.

And if you’re ready to reclaim that map, meet Baba Yaga, a feminist menstrual health app that actually supports you with cycle syncing, teaches you fertility awareness, and empowers you to be your fullest, most expansive self.

Indie. Privacy-first. Unapologetically alive.

This is the season of the Crone, when the veil thins and truth seeps through the cracks.
But the wisdom we need now will not come from the “love and light” wellness industry.
It lives in the blood, in the soil, and in the remembering.

Colonial patriarchy taught us to fear our bodies, to sanitize, suppress, and separate.
But our blood was the first calendar.
Our wombs were the first altars.
Our cycles were the first teachers of death and renewal.

To reclaim menstrual wisdom is to reclaim time itself.
It is a return to Indigenous ways of knowing that honor rhythm, reciprocity, and rest.
We cannot steal those teachings, but we can remember our own roots and walk beside living Indigenous wisdom with reverence, not appropriation.

These ten quotes from wise women — Maya Angelou, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Pema Chödrön, Angela Davis, and others — remind us that shadow work is decolonial work, and that true power grows in relationship with the Earth.

Save this post when you need to remember that your body is not shameful. It is cyclical, sacred, and ancient.
Share it to honor the lineages that bled, birthed, and tended the fire before you.

A haunted house… but it’s just living in a bleeding body in a culture that forgot how to honor it.

We were taught to fear our blood.
To hide tampons like secrets.
To apologize for pain.
To medicate the mystery instead of meeting it.

But the ghosts we run from are only the echoes of a wisdom we abandoned.

Baba Yaga has always lived in that house — the wild witch who turns fear into knowing, shame into power.
She’s not here to scare you. She’s here to hand you the keys back.

🩸 Baba Yaga Cycle Coach is a feminist menstrual & fertility awareness app for those ready to stop being haunted by their own body.
