This is the impact you could be part of:

Industries with above-average use of patents, trade marks, designs and other intellectual property rights (IPRs) drive the EU’s economy.

Between 2021-2023, IPR-intensive industries generated 47.9% of EU GDP – the equivalent of €7.7 trillion.

In our fifth joint study with the European Union Intellectual Property Office - EUIPO, we take a close look at what this really means for Europe’s economy and workforce. The findings are clear: industries that rely on intellectual property generate higher wages, support millions of jobs, attract the most funding and underpin the bulk of EU trade.
