Operation Rescue President Troy Newman offers this statement in response to the Trump administration's historic decision to end funding for all research involving tissue from aborted babies:

“Thank you, President Donald J. Trump and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr! Operation Rescue has been working for over a decade to bring an end to the sale of aborted babies’ bodies. In 2015, I personally co-founded The Center for Medical Progress and our team of investigative journalists publicly exposed the illegal market for fetal body parts running rampant in the abortion industry, especially in the back rooms of Planned Parenthoods. Today is a monumental step in acknowledging the dignity of children in the womb and moving ever closer to restoring personhood to these precious children. Every human life deserves protection from conception to natural death — not to become a fruitless science experiment for the highest bidder. The Trump administration has done well to put a stop to bad science and brutal experimentation."

Today, October 15th, is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

It's a day to pause and honor the precious lives that were too brief, and to acknowledge the profound grief carried by parents, families, and friends.

To all who have loved and lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, or any other cause, please know you are not alone. Your baby existed, and they are remembered.
