I wanted to take a quick moment to write a post and let any newcomers know that I have paused my doula work 💗 I have finished my first year of chiropractic school, and also moved back to the states following a bike accident I had in August 2020 that left me with a TBI and should injury.

I am working on recovering from that injury and healing as well as transferring chiropractic schools. Should I open up doula work in the future, I most certainly will keep everyone posted!

Hey families! I’m doing a child birth q & a class on planning your birth. I’m answering not to typical questions such as:
How do I know it’s time?
What do I do if my water breaks?
What is active labor and how will it feel?
What positions can I push in?
Etc.

What a great visual! Looking back, how did you tell apart false from real labor?

It doesn’t matter if it’s your first baby or your sixth, we all have trouble telling whether it’s true labour or not. This can help guide you.

Still one of my most memorable births. An hour before this picture, I fought Muay Thai at a gala and won with a TKO! Then drove to the hospital for this birth! The baby and his beautiful family were the best trophy ever!

Birth takes a village.

Building a GOOD birth team can make a massive difference in the outcome of your birth. We are the ones who will be there to support you during the toughest parts of labor. Choose the wrong photographer or doula and you may end up feeling stressed, vulnerable, anxious or not supported.

Meet with your birth professionals prior to booking, ask questions, make sure you're completely comfortable with them! After working with many other birth professionals over the years, I can say with confidence that you absolutely get what you pay for and we are not created equal.
