We're on our way back home now, and we're really grateful for an interesting and successful in beautiful . Our CEO Dr. Ben Liesfeld had the opportunity to speak about the application of artificial intelligence in diagnostic procedures. This is not a trivial matter, as once again demonstrated in Ben's lecture and the related panel discussion on this topic. Every step in this direction must be taken with caution, as human oversight is crucial, not least to respect and maintain with the applicable for medical devices.
Thanks also to our guest speakers Robin-Tobias Jauss and Guido Neidhardt for joining us in our workshop "Exome diagnostics and beyond", and to Rania Horaitis who puts her heart into organising this conference so nicely (and really spoils all the guests ☺️)! Hope to see you all again soon. 👋

STRONG! PROUD! MANY! is this year's motto of the Rare Disease Day and you can't say that loud enough! We're joining in and want to stress that rare is actually many by sharing some stories that we didn't have to go far to find - they're from inside our varvis® team. Most of us have been in touch with rare diseases, which - in their entirety - are not rare at all. That is why raising awareness, researching them and finding therapies is so crucial for those affected, their beloved ones and carers.

When we decided it was time for a new team photo, we had to realize that we no longer fit into the photo studio from our last shooting three years ago.
