Red Cross personnel form a global network in 700 U.S. chapters, military installations worldwide and in forward deployed locations in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq.

🔥 Holiday cooking is in full swing - keep your kitchen safe this season! With all the frying, roasting, and sizzling happening over the next few weeks, it’s a great time to refresh one of the most important safety tips: never use water on a grease fire.

Instead, here are a few simple items you may already have nearby that can help smother a small grease fire:
✨ A metal lid
✨ A cookie sheet
✨ Salt
✨ Baking soda

And remember:
➡️ If you ever feel unsafe, get everyone out and call emergency services immediately.
➡️ Keep a clear space around your stovetop and stay close while cooking.
➡️ Turn pot handles inward to avoid accidents with pets or little ones.

Wishing our Stuttgart community safe, warm, and joyful holiday cooking! ❤️🎄

🚗✨ Holiday travel coming up? Here are a few “don’ts” worth keeping in mind before you hit the road:
✔️ Pack snacks, water, and a first aid kit
✔️ Download offline maps in case cell service drops
✔️ Keep your fuel tank comfortably full — some areas have fewer stations than you’d expect

A little prep goes a long way — especially with winter weather, busy highways, and those long stretches of rural roads here in Europe. Remember to check local weather alerts, traffic updates, and road regulations before you go. Safe travels, Stuttgart community! ❤️🇺🇸
