We are proud to announce that we are part of a consortium of innovative companies and clinicians centered around the ENGINE project !

The Endeavour for Next Generation of Interventional Endoscopy (ENGINE) project, led by the Department of Next Generation Endoscopic Intervention at the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University, Japan, is dedicated to advancing research and development in minimally invasive diagnostics and therapies. Under the leadership of Professor Kiyokazu Nakajima , a unique R&D platform has been established, bringing together over 20 companies and more than 50 supporting clinicians to drive innovation in medical technology.

We are especially honored that the ENGINE consortium is expanding its international reach for the first time by welcoming Ovesco as a member. This gives us the exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with leading Japanese endoscopists and medtech companies, to jointly develop new solutions, and to benefit from the expertise of outstanding professionals as we explore new fields together.

We appreciate the support of everyone involved and look forward to contributing to the ENGINE project as we work together to shape the future of interventional endoscopy! 😊

With the AWC®duo (Additional Working Channel), you can effortlessly transform your single-channel endoscope into a dual-channel device. But what are the advantages compared to a regular dual-channel endoscope?

👉 Bimanual working under triangulation
The AWC®duo enables bimanual instrument handling, facilitating procedures such as EMR and ESD. Unlike regular dual-channel devices, where instruments are very close and parallel to each other, the AWC®duo offers a greater distance and triangulation between working channels. It also provides an additional lumen for suction or flushing, resulting in better instrument control and enhanced procedural precision.

👉 Versatility & flexibility
The AWC®duo is available in different lengths for gastroscopes and colonoscopes and includes a flexible, transparent distance cap allowing a good view of the target area.

👉 Cost-effective alternative
While dual-channel endoscopes require a substantial capital investment, the AWC®duo delivers the same functionality at a fraction of the cost making advanced endoscopic techniques accessible to a broader range of facilities without significant financial commitment.

All these functionalities make the AWC®duo a smart and economical choice for modern endoscopy.

Are you already familiar with our system for lumen reduction?
BARS® builds on the proven OTSC® technology and was specifically developed for endoscopic lumen reduction for example in cases of enlarged anastomoses. This transluminal, minimally invasive technique enables the secure grasping of large tissue volumes and allows the simultaneous use of three different application aids. Thanks to dynamic compression, the system continuously adapts to varying tissue thickness.

Ovesco's new facility in the technology park in Tübingen is built right next to our existing headquarters. The new building will feature additional office space, state-of-the-art laboratories, highly specialized production areas, and an expanded logistics section.

To relive this special milestone, we've put together an impression video from the groundbreaking ceremony. Watch the highlights below to experience the highlights of this memorable day with us! We're incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited about every step of progress.

From 62.5% surgery to 12.5%: How OTSC® transformed perforation management. 🔄

Clinical trials show efficacy. But what happens when you actually implement a new technology in daily practice? A tertiary endoscopy center in Paris tracked their perforation management over 8 years - before and after introducing the OTSC® System. The results demonstrate an impressive shift in clinical practice.

📊 Before OTSC® implementation (2007-2011): 62.5% required surgery (15/24 patients)

📊 After OTSC® implementation (2011-2015): Only 12.5% required surgery (2/16 patients)

The OTSC® results in this real-world setting:

✅ 100% technical success - all clips deployed successfully
✅ 82% clinical success (9/11 patients)
✅ No mortality in the OTSC® period
✅ Surgery avoided in the vast majority of cases

The paradigm shift: What was once a surgical emergency became an endoscopically manageable complication. Patients avoided major surgery, prolonged recovery, and potential complications - while maintaining excellent clinical outcomes. This is what evidence-based implementation looks like.
