The past few days in Copenhagen were truly inspiring. It was a pleasure to connect with dedicated professionals in gynecologic oncology, discuss surgical challenges, and present how our energy devices, reusable instruments, and laser solutions can support your work in the OR.

We truly enjoyed:

✨ Mandible reconstruction after tumor-related bone loss ✨

After significant bone loss due to tumor disease and long-term refusal of the patient to undergo bone reconstruction, this patient was subsequently managed using an IPS Implants® Mandible Reconstruction combined with a fibula graft.

1️⃣ The preoperative situation required removal of a previous implant and repositioning of the native mandible by mirroring the healthy side.
2️⃣ Residual bone was then resected, and the screw holes for the new IPS Implant® were pre‑drilled using dedicated marking and drill guides to ensure precise implant placement.
3️⃣ Reconstruction was planned using a fibula graft, with graft segments defined based on the fibula scan and a neo‑condyle formed by shaping the ascending ramus into an oval structure.
4️⃣ The implant design was then refined to match the finalized graft layout, ensuring an optimal fit.
5️⃣Final steps included a detailed screw map with recommended screw lengths.
6️⃣ After completion of the digital planning workflow, the custom‑made implant was manufactured and prepared for shipment.
