A historic day for dental CAD-CAM technology.
In 1989 the first prototype of a CAD-CAM system for dental technology was presented at the dental fair in Montreux. An extremely innovative laboratory owner saw these exhibits and immediately said in his own words: "This is the future of dental technology". And he was right.
Since there was no distribution or distribution structure for this hitherto unknown technology at the time, the same laboratory owner “put butter at the fish” on the spot and secured all rights.
30 years ago today (yes, actually in 1991 !!!) the world's first CAD-CAM system was delivered to a customer in Germany.
There were 10 pieces by the end of the year. The subsequently improved version was then sold in 1992. If you are interested, I know all the details, because I can proudly say that I was there almost from the beginning (and still am).
Today most of the machines still exist. Some actually still work in their original configuration. In recent years we have been able to convert a large proportion of the machines to modern drive technology and bring them up to date with the latest 5-axis technology.
Only the highest quality components (e.g. harmonic drives for the additional axes, tool length measuring systems from BLUM, mechanical components from the best brand manufacturers) and a well-developed modular concept allow us to bring even machines from the M1 series from 1991 to the state of the art at low cost.
Many customers have become personal friends over the years. We still look forward to the reliability of the milling systems together with our customers every day.
Many thanks to everyone for their loyalty and trust.
