This title now reflects the focus of "Discover", which is to support African communities in planting trees - to combat the worst effects of the climate crisis and to improve their well-being through practising agroforestry.

We wish all our followers a happy and healthy New Year.
Given the severity of the climate crisis, we encourage you not only to plant one tree in 23, but to plant and protect many trees!
Trees cool the environment, help to create rain (see the first diagram), help to survive drought, help to prevent floods and provide fruit, medicine, timber and the basis for productive agroforestry-
Maybe plan a big event for the International Day of the Forest on 21 March - and send a photograph to us at Discover.

Indigenous seeds have been used by farmers since time immemorial to grow food and preserve agricultural diversity. Seed saving and sharing is an ancient practice that has safeguarded farming communities from hunger and malnutrition.
