WAS IST PODOLOGIE?
Der Begriff Podologie stammt aus dem griechischen, „podos“ für Fuß und „logos“ für die Lehre.
Die Podologie wird als medizinischer Fachberuf und nichtärztlicher Heilberuf definiert.
Die Maßnahmen, die in der Podologie durchgeführt werden sind vielfältig und stehen in Zusammenhang mit der Inneren Medizin (Diabetologie), Dermatologie (Erkrankungen der Haut), Chirurgie sowie der Orthopädie. Sie basieren auf präventiven, kurativen therapeutischen und rehabilitativen Maßnahmen rund um den Fuß.
