๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐: Assessing a moisturizer for atopic dermatitis
A clinical study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology (2023) evaluated a moisturizer containing tocotrienol-rich natural vitamin E in children with mild to moderate atopic dermatitis.
Using DermaLab Combo, objective and non-invasive measurements of transepidermal water loss (TEWL) and skin color (erythema index) were performed over a 12-week treatment period.
๐ Results after 12 weeks showed:
โข 49.7% reduction in TEWL
โข 17.4% reduction in erythema
The study highlights how reliable TEWL and color measurements support objective documentation of study results.
