🧭Mala: A mala is originally a prayer chain from Hinduism and Buddhism and is used in meditation to count mantras.
🧭A mantra is a collection of words, often from Sanskrit, which is repeated several times - traditionally 108 times. Here you focus on the meaning and vibration of the word, possibly combined with the accompanying visualization. By practicing a meditation exercise like this, your mind comes to rest and your body relaxes. Today, however, a mala is also used as a fashion accessory.
🧭A Mala can be used both as a necklace in everyday life or as a meditation necklace, or you can wrap it around your wrist if it suits your style best. A good idea is to wear the Mala under the clothes, where it can come into contact with the skin and be as close to the heart as possible, where the 108 nadis gather.
🧭Many also bring their Mala to yoga, to use it to help focus on themselves, and "charge" the chain with the positive energy you develop during yoga. You simply put the chain close to your mat and let the beads absorb the energy from your body, and at the same time it will give some of its energy back to you.
🧭It helps you focus on yourself and your exercises and it is a great feeling that you are doing something good for yourself and your body and that you can enjoy the energy long after the end of the session. This makes a Mala chain a very personal item that you should not lend or share with other people.
I use my Mala beads necklace to support my Ho'oponopono practice. And you?
🧭I'd love to know how you use your Mala, so please share it in the comments... 🙏✨
