PERSIMUNE

PERSIMUNE Danish National Research Foundation Centre of Excellence for Personalized Medicine of Infectious Complications in Immune Deficiency (PERSIMUNE).

The main driving hypothesis of the multidisciplinary PERSIMUNE Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Rigshospitalet, University of Copenhagen is that among patients with impaired immune function, there are common patterns of un-discovered risk factors, which explain the variation in infectious complications (i.e. the infectious phenotype). Initially, we aim to interrogate the mechanisms explaining the variation in risk using a diverse set of methodologies, including pattern recognition from big data and routine care, studies of host and microbial genetics, imaging, and immunological characterization.

Metabolome associations with CMV infection in HSCT recipients. By use of metabolomics data collected early after an HSCT and clustering algorithms, new potential links between metabolic pathways and CMV infections were proposed. Along with the paper, an interactive HTML file was published to allow others to interact with the data and propose their own hypotheses for future studies.
