Sometimes I lose focus — maybe because I can’t see your faces. It feels a bit like speaking into something impersonal.

And being selvstændig… well, there are always too many balls in the air: website, SEO, this and that — and a few treatments too 😀

But I know you are there. Real, warm people behind the screen.

Why do you feel the need to urinate after a massage?

Many people say:
“It is because the lymphatic system is activated.”
“It is toxins leaving the body.”

Let us look at this. The lymphatic system does not drain directly into the kidneys – you cannot “squeeze lymph” into urine.

Lymph returns to the bloodstream through the thoracic ducts.
The kidneys filter blood, not lymph.

So what is really happening?

Massage, especially slow-flow massages, relaxes you and activates the parasympathetic nervous system: the state of rest.

When this happens:

• Stress hormones decrease
• Blood vessels relax
• Internal organs receive better circulation
• Kidney filtration can increase

When you are stressed, your body holds. When you relax, your body releases.

This is why urination after a massage is another sign of good relaxation during the session — unless you drank a litre of cola just before.

Skal massage gøre ondt?
Nej. Nej. Og nej.

Og jeg bliver aldrig træt af at forklare det.

Når man arbejder direkte ind i smerte og spænding, bliver vævet ofte endnu mere stresset.
Kroppen lukker sig – i stedet for at give slip – og frigiver stresshormoner i blodet i stedet for at lindre smerter.

Langsomme, blide strygninger giver nervesystemet tid til at falde til ro.
Og først dér kan spændingerne begynde at løsne sig – indefra og af sig selv.

Hos mig handler massage ikke om at “holde ud”, men om at skabe tryghed, ro og dyb afspænding.

Silence and sound are not opposites.
They are parts of the same whole.

After loud days and busy moments, many of us long for quiet.
During a session, the deep vibrations of singing bowls, placed gently on the body, help the body settle.

The sound is soft, but it goes deep.
It supports a feeling of coming back to yourself.

I love these sounds.
I love working with the bowls.
Even just touching them and drawing out the sound feels special to me.
