Its only because I am sitting at BilSyn having the car inspected that I have time to catch up with you. Mainly to say thank you. September marked the 4th anniversary of my professional practice in Denmark and October marked my busiest month yet. A small business like mine requires community support and I hope to give as much as I get. I always feel as if I am on the winning end of that equation, so once again, thank you.💚
It was an exciting autumn with a visit to Rikke Melhede at FGU where I had so much fun meeting the teachers and visiting with the students. I am not often around teenagers and they are so.... themselves! It reminded me of years past when I worked with struggling kids in the New Mexico desert. I can relate to them!
In London I met Jan Trewartha of The Fascia Hub and took great joy assisting Dr. Robert Schleip for a workshop on treating scars tissue. Meeting new colleagues is something I treasure and continues to grow internationally.
Early November brought Robert's annual webinar on the very latest findings in fascial research. and a report from the International Fascia Research Congress. Its always more than I can understand but I do my best. My talent lives in my heart and hands and I have to work at understanding the science.
Steven Porges was the keynote speaker and there have been some very interesting evolutions in his very popular Polyvagal Theory. I aim to report on this when I put a post together.
I also recertified in Fascial Fitness for the 3rd or 4th time since 2014. I strongly recommend this education if you are a enthusiast like me.
The pre winter solstice period is my favorite time of year. Everything slows down. Nearly everyone comes into the clinic feeling tired and anxious - some dreading the holiday season ahead, others busily preparing both with tasks and emotional resilience.
This is a time of year to achieve less, rest more, observe what nature is doing and copy that. Just like the trees we need to let go, sleep deeply, become quiet and let mother nature have her way.
The clinic is open, even during christmas time. it is my favorite time of year to give treatments because the healing is deep, unconscious and powerful. Its like surfing on a perfect break.... nature makes it easy.
One other thing I am hoping to post about... did you know that our fascia plays an intimate role in our moods including feelings of depression? In short, these treatments help relieve the winter blues. Something to consider if you lean that way.
Coming up.... Berørt at GrowYoga - Nivågaard this Saturday, a wellness night at Frederiksværk Svømmehal on 21.11, and hopefully a trip back to Lipno in Czech to assist Alexander George with Healing Dance I in the warm water.
Hope to see you at Helsinges little oasis.
Warm regards
Sarah Reynolds
By the way, the car passed!😃
