Angel Flight Northeast] is so blessed to be part of beautiful .ayah journey from Copenhagen, Denmark to Medical City Children's Hospital in San Antonio, TX for treatment of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. With the generous support of the Alexion Charitable Foundation that supports patients with rare & ultra-rare diseases, our mission coordination team worked for several weeks to book commercial flights for Ayah and her family to travel safely the 5,300 mile journey.

After 33 weeks of sleepless nights and tears, we are here!!! We want to thank God for bringing us this far, for blessing us immensely even when we fall short of His glory, for guiding us and getting us here. For health and wealth.

To our family and friends… You were the very first to know, we requested for your support, and you went all out for us, you fought for Ayah like your own, even when the world didn't know about SMA or couldn't fathom a single treatment could cost millions of dollars!!...

You went ahead and formed Ayah support groups in Kenya, Denmark, all over Europe, and the US. Then most of you transitioned to Keyboard warriors who have been the true definition of resilience and support. Vi har gode nyheder! 🤩
Måned efter måned har vi rakt ud til hospitaler over hele verden, og nu er det endelig lykkes at få et bedre tilbud på behandlingen af Ayah. US-San Antonio Hospital.

Vores nye mål er nu 13,850.000 millioner. Vi har indtil videre indsamlet 13.333.012 millioner kroner. Det betyder at vi er endnu tættere på målet og nu "kun" mangler 509.987 kr for at kunne betale Ayah's behandling.

Det er helt fantastisk og et rent mirakel at vi er så langt. Men vi har stadigt brug for hjælp for at lykkes.

Hvis vi kan lykkes med at få 10.000 personer til hver at donere 50kr, så er Ayah på vej til USA!

Dear all,
Here is the story of our happy bubbly daughter Ayah. She likes to sing, tell stories and her favorite word is ‘Thank You. Ayah was also born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy disease (SMA), which causes her muscles to degenerate, affecting both her internal and external organs.

At 18 months, she cannot sit unassisted for long, and neither can she crawl or stand. Fortunately, there is a treatment for this very rare disease, called Zolgensma, but it also happens to be the most expensive drug in the world. For the medicine and the treatment, we need to raise 2.4 million USD. Since January this year, we have raised about 85% of the total needed through the help of well-wishers and we are only remaining about 360,000 USD.

Please join us in our race against time, as Ayah needs to be treated before she turns 2 years old. Any contribution however big or small is welcome.

Ayah på 18 måneder kan reddes fra en dødelig sygdom med den rette medicin. Men den er dyr, og Medicinrådet vil kun godkende den til børn under seks måneder.
