🌍 Happy World Toilet Day🚽♿

This year’s World Toilet Day theme is “We’ll Always Need the Toilet”. No matter how the world changes, everyone deserves access to a safe and dignified toilet.

At Pressalit, we support this through our work with Changing Places. These are not standard accessible bathrooms. They include ceiling hoists, height-adjustable changing tables, extra space and features that people with more complex needs rely on. For many families, Changing Places facilities make everyday activities possible.

Today is a reminder that toilets are a basic human right. Building future-ready and inclusive sanitation benefits all of us.

Today is Changing Places Awareness Day💙

Today, we shine a light on the essential role that fully accessible public toilets play in restoring freedom, dignity, and inclusion.

Changing Places facilities are more than just a room. They are a lifeline. For people with profound disabilities and complex needs, and those who need assistance to use the toilet, a standard accessible toilet simply isn't enough. A fully equipped Changing Place with a height-adjustable changing table, ceiling hoist, space for carers, and appropriate sanitaryware can be the difference between exclusion and full participation in everyday life.

At Pressalit, we’re proud to support this powerful movement. We collaborate closely with Changing Places organisations, architects, and public venues to design solutions that meet not only the technical requirements, but the human ones too.

Because accessibility isn’t just a feature. It’s a right.

♿But there’s still work to do. Too many people still plan their days around whether a suitable facility will be available or stay home altogether.

Inclusion in action – and a great reason to look forward to tomorrow.
Ahead of Changing Places Awareness Day tomorrow, we’re excited to highlight a fantastic new initiative right here in Denmark.

🎢 At the popular Danish amusement park, Fårup Sommerland, guests with complex accessibility needs can now enjoy the park with greater comfort and dignity, thanks to a brand-new Changing Places facility.
We are proud to have
deliver both consultancy and specialist equipment to help make this happen.

The facility includes:
✅ A height-adjustable changing table
✅ A ceiling hoist
✅ A height-adjustable toilet
✅ A height-adjustable wash basin
✅ A shower seat for safety
✅ Plenty of space for carers
✅ And a warm and welcoming ambiance

This is what true accessibility looks like - not just meeting minimum standards, but creating spaces where everyone can participate fully♿💙

Celebrating 40 years of collaboration with LINAK!🍦

Today, we marked a fantastic milestone — 40 years of strong partnership between Pressalit and LINAK🚀

LINAK has been a trusted supplier of actuators for lifting units for many of our height-adjustable solutions. Over the decades, we’ve built not just a business relationship, but a collaboration rooted in shared values, innovation, and trust💡🤝

To celebrate, the LINAK team rolled into Pressalit with an ice cream truck and treated the employees to a sweet break in the sun ☀️🍨 — a perfect symbol of the great spirit between our companies.

Our CEO, Jan Warrer took the opportunity to thank LINAK and Managing Director, Søren Brøndum Petersen for the many years of loyal cooperation. Now we look ahead and look forward to many more years of creating accessible solutions together🙌
