Embracing the profound wisdom of Dr. Jordan B. Peterson has been a transformative journey for me.
From absorbing his insights on podcasts and YouTube to delving into his books and courses, every encounter has been a beacon of enlightenment. This year, the privilege of witnessing his brilliance live on stage was an absolute honor, an investment of both euros and time that proved invaluable.
My self-development voyage began in 2019 with a three-day live event featuring Tony Robbins, and since then, I've been deeply immersed in the world of personal growth.
Jordan Peterson is one of today's most influential figures in psychology, and his course, "Understanding Personality," is nothing short of a revelation. As a people manager, I have taken it and used what I learned and it has significantly impacted my personal and professional life.
Here are a few quotes from Dr. Peterson that have resonated deeply with me:
“It is much better to make friends with what you do not know than with what you do know, as there is an infinite supply of the former but a finite stock of the latter.”
“Adopt responsibility for your own well-being, try to put your family together, try to serve your community, try to seek eternal truth. That’s the sort of thing that can ground you in your life, enough so that you can withstand the difficulty of life.”
“If your life is not what it could be, try telling the truth. If you cling desperately to an ideology or wallow in nihilism, try telling the truth. If you feel weak and rejected, and desperate, and confused, try telling the truth. In Paradise, everyone speaks the truth. That is what makes it Paradise. Tell the truth. Or, at least, don’t lie.”
I believe in the power of Dr. Peterson's teachings to foster positive change.
