My client had shoulder pain between the scapula and spine, plus deep in the armpit area. He pointed to the rhomboid area and to the serratus anterior area. Those two can have a tug of war with the scapula. I found the serratus overworking and the rhomboid underworking. Released the serratus and activated the rhomboid. After that his shoulder pain was almost gone.
Muscles can be weak and tight and strong and tight. Both conditions can result in pain in that area. Don’t assume a weak muscle can’t be tight.

My client was having deep glute pain and a feeling of tightness in her hip joint. She pointed to the piriformis area and to the groin area. She said it hurt when she tried to run or walk quickly.
NKT testing found the piriformis overworking and the psoas underworking. Released the piriformis and activated the psoas. But her glute and hip still hurt.
Then we found the piriformis overworking and the pectineus underworking. Released the piriformis and activated the pectineus.
After that her glute and hip stopped hurting, even when she walked quickly or ran.
