March is Myeloma Awareness Month 💙
But what exactly is myeloma?
Myeloma (also known as multiple myeloma) is a type of blood cancer that forms in plasma cells — a type of white blood cell found in the bone marrow. These abnormal cells multiply uncontrollably and can affect the bones, immune system, kidneys, and overall blood health.
🔹 It can cause bone pain, especially in the back or ribs
🔹 Frequent infections
🔹 Fatigue or weakness
🔹 Kidney complications
🔹 Anemia
Early detection and proper medical care can make a significant difference. Awareness is the first step toward prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
At Qban Health Care, we are committed to educating our community and providing quality care when it matters most.
Know the signs. Ask questions. Prioritize your health. 💙
