SOCIETE ALGERIENNE DES AFFAIRES REGLEMENTAIRES ET DE PHARMACO-ECONOMIE est une association nationale savante à but non lucratif comptant parmi ses membres, pour ne citer que ceux-là, des pharmaciens, des praticiens, des économistes, des gestionnaires et opérateurs économiques du secteur de la Santé. Créée à Alger et ayant officiellement obtenu son agrément le 06 Mai 2016, la SAARPE a pour Mission de former, d’informer et de communiquer sur les affaires réglementaires et la pharmaco-économie.

Global equitable access to vaccines in low- and lower-middle-income countries has been estimated to generate economic benefits of at least US$ 153bn in 2020–21, and US$ 466bn by 2025, in 10 major economies (Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Qatar, South Korea, Sweden, UAE, UK and USA), according to Eurasia Group's new report commissioned by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
This is more than 12 times the US$ 38bn estimated total cost of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator, led by WHO, and aiming to support the development and equitable distribution of the tests, treatments and vaccines the world needs to fight COVID-19.
: Official decrees defining conditions for granting Marketing Authorization related to Drug and Medical Devices, as well as Inter-Ministerial Pricing Committee organization and functioning rules have just been published in the Official Gazette No 69 dated of November 22nd, 2020.

The aforementioned strategy is based on four specific pillars, which include legislative and non-legislative action:
1- Ensuring access to affordable medicines for patients, and addressing unmet medical needs (e.g. in the areas of antimicrobial resistance, rare diseases);
2- Supporting competitiveness, innovation and sustainability of the EU’s pharmaceutical industry and the development of high quality, safe, effective and greener medicines;
3- Enhancing crisis preparedness and response mechanisms, diversified and secure supply chains, address medicines shortages;
4- Ensuring a strong EU voice in the world, by promoting a high level of quality, efficacy and safety standards.

The Algerian Society for Regulatory Affairs & Pharmacoeconomics (SAARPE) is a non-profit scientific organization, created in Algiers on 26th of October 2015, under the provisions of the Law No. 12-06 related to Associations.
The purpose of the SAARPE is related to providing continuing education, and information for healthcare professionals, using Pharmacoeconomics tools for production of scientific data that can advise healthcare decision-makers in order to provide optimal services at lower costs.
The missions of SAARPE encompass:
(1) To participate in the promotion of scientific research in the field of Pharmacoeconomics and the development of the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) as a discipline in Algeria in collaboration with the public authorities.
(2) To organize conferences, seminars, and scientific days as part of continuing education of the healthcare professionals in the field of Pharmaceutical Regulations & Pharmacoeconomics in coordination with the national health authorities.
(3) To provide training sessions and workshops for healthcare professionals in all the branches of health to improve their knowledges and skills in the field of Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs & Pharmacoeconomics.
(4) To create an electronic portal for the publication of news, results of scientific works and conferences, both national and international ones, in relation with Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs & Pharmacoeconomics.
(5) To build a digital database of books, journals and articles related to Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs & Pharmacoeconomics that will be made available to the healthcare professionals.
(6) To participate in different scientific events both in Algeria and abroad in relation with the purpose of the SAARPE.
