Imagine a shattered ceramic bowl, pieced back together not with hiding glue, but with gold—turning cracks into radiant veins of strength. That's kintsugi, the Japanese art of "golden repair."In life, we're all like that bowl. Trauma, heartbreak, failures—they crack us open.

But here's the magic: those experiences don't destroy us. They reshape us. When we heal with intention—through therapy, self-compassion, or creative expression—we fill our fissures with golden wisdom. We emerge not flawless, but beautifully unique, stronger, more luminous versions of ourselves.Your scars? They're your gold.

I’m very proud to have been part of a meaningful and emotionally beautiful celebration with the Family Association (أسرة الغد) and Healing House, on a day dedicated to honoring and supporting the parents of children battling Cystic Fibrosis 💜

The day was full of warm energy, genuine feelings, laughter, tears, joy, and hope… A day that truly touched my heart and reminded me that the strongest people are those who love and keep going despite everything 🌿

I was very proud to be part of this wonderful event and had the chance to lead group expressive art therapy sessions for the mothers and fathers.

The moments we spent together were filled with honesty, heartfelt stories, and emotions stemming from deep human experience ❤️ We combined positive thinking with art to help us discover the magic of colors and their power to move us from an undesirable state to a preferred one. We realized that healing and a positive outlook start with a decision.

In every word spoken, there was pain, but also great love and hope.

We talked about fear, exhaustion, and guilt, but also about patience and the strength that comes from love and faith. Every parent in the room was a true example of courage… their love for their children gives life meaning, and their presence inspires anyone who hears their story.

Heartfelt thanks to (أسرة الغد) Association for the invitation and wonderful organization, and deep gratitude to Healing House for always creating a supportive space for healing, awareness, and the human journey 🙏✨

Art Therapy and Ancient Egyptian History

Did you know that the use of art, symbolism, and creative expression was deeply embedded in ancient Egyptian culture and spirituality.

It also played a significant role in healing, rituals, and emotional expression creating the perfect combination of creativity and healing.

Our ancestors, the Ancient Egyptians used painting, sculpture, and hieroglyphics for ritualistic and spiritual purposes aimed at protecting health, casting away evil, and connecting with the divine.

Artistic expression was integrated into religious and funerary practices to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. These are still evident and instilled on the walls, the columns and ceilings of their temples.

The act of creating images and symbols served therapeutic, meditative, and restorative functions in their worldview.

There is also a fantastic concept back then, known now as the Proto-Art Therapy Elements

While ancient Egyptians did not have "art therapy" as a structured therapy, the principles of using creative expression for emotional and spiritual healing were inherent in their culture.

The rituals involving mandalas, symbols, and visual storytelling can be seen as early forms of therapeutic art activities.

To sum up, art therapy was delivered to the world by one of the oldest and most solid civilizations, Ancient Egypt. Although art therapy as an organized practice was not formally recognized back then, the Egyptians used art deeply as a means of spiritual expression, emotional healing, and mental well-being through symbols and artistic rituals that still inspire the world today. This highlights the profound understanding that this civilization had about the power of creativity and artistic expression in supporting human health and the soul.

MORNING AFFIRMATIONS:

Today, I choose to be heart-centered.

I choose to declutter and make room for a bright new day.

I am not my past blockages; so I release that unnecessary weight.

I am not yesterday's residuals, so I recharge my energy with what makes me at peace.

I have no spot in the past. I have no ticket to the future. I am the NOW!

And today is a brand new day with brand new choices and the happy news? I get to make them.

So here's a boost to my mind, my soul and my heart:

Refresh. Breathe and Restart.

I am growing a NOW garden, so I choose to grow it with happy thoughts and emotions.

I can collect in my basket what I want to carry with me through out my day.

I am aware there will be thornes in some flowers, unnecessary weeds, sprouts that haven't blossomed yet. So, I don’t need to pick them along the way.

Today, I am aligning my life with my values,
inner truth,
compassion,

I prioritize my feelings and intuition over purely rational thought, while maintaining emotional awareness.

Today I just be, without reactivity.

Morning stretches are not just for the physique, they are an expansion to both mind and soul as well.

For the mind, it allows it to still. pause. rewire and restart.

For the soul, it opens doors to peace and tranquility knowing that you gave self-care, self-attention and quality me time the priority of your day.

A simple 10 minutes stretch, can set a fresh start for the entire day and create the positive shift you need.

💜🤍🩷How to love oneself💜🤍🩷

I found that there is only one thing that can address any problem, and that is to love yourself. When people start loving themselves more every day, it's amazing to see how their lives improve.

They feel better. They get the jobs they want. They get the money they need. Their relationship develops, or negative relationships end and they start new ones.

Loving yourself is a great adventure: it's like you've grown out wings. Imagine if we had the ability to fly?

How exciting it will be!

The greatest gift you can give yourself, is learning how to fully love thee...It's then when magic happens.

Here are 12 simple laws to attract self love:


1. Let go of all criticism:

Criticism never changes anything. Refuse to criticize yourself.

Accept yourself exactly as you are.
Everyone changes.
When you criticize yourself, your changes are always negative. When you approve of yourself, your changes become positive.

2. Forgive yourself:

Forget the past. You did the best you could at the time with the understanding, awareness and knowledge you had. You are growing and changing and living life differently.

3. Don't scare yourself:

Stop terrorizing yourself with your beliefs.
It's a horrible way to live.
Find a spiritual way that makes you feel good. Immediately change the feelings of fear into feelings of pleasure.

4 - Be kind, gentle and patient:

Be kind to yourself. Again, be kind to yourself. Be patient with yourself as if you are learning new ways of thinking. Treat yourself like someone you already love.

5. Be kind to your mind:

Self-loathing stems from hating your own thoughts, don't hate yourself because you have them, simply change them.

6 - Praise yourself:

Criticism destroys the inner spirit.
Praise builds it up. Praise yourself as much as you can.
Tell yourself that you can handle things.

7. Support yourself:

Find ways to support yourself. Reach out to friends and let them help you. It's powerful to ask for help when you need it.

8 - Be accepting of your shortcomings:

You must recognize that you were created to fulfill needs. Now you must look for new ways, positive ways to fulfill those needs. So you must lovingly recognize those old negative patterns.

9. Take care of your body:

Learn about nutrition. What kind of fuel does your body need for optimal energy and vitality?
Learn about exercise. What kind of sports do you enjoy doing?

10. Do your self reflection work:

Look into a recent self taken picture and look yourself in the eyes. Do it often. Express that growing feeling of self-love. Forgive yourself as you look at yourself. Talk to your parents as you look through your image, forgive them, tell them at least once a day that you love them, "I really love you."

11 - Love yourself... Do it now:

Don't wait until you get better, lose weight, get a new job, or find a new relationship. Start now - do the best you can.

12. Have fun:
Remember the things that make you happy, like children. Incorporate them into your life now. Look for the way that everything you do makes you feel fun.

Let yourself recognize , even better, discover the happiness of life. Smile, laugh, rejoice, the whole universe will rejoice with you.
