★★ إنجاز طبي جديد بجامعة الإسكندرية لإنقاذ مريض فلسطيني مصاب من قطاع غزة
في إطار الدور الوطني والإنساني الذي تؤديه جامعة الإسكندرية تنفيذًا لتوجيهات القيادة السياسية ووزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي بتقديم الدعم الطبي للأشقاء من المصابين في قطاع غزة، نجح فريق طبي متخصص بمستشفيات جامعة الإسكندرية في تحقيق إنجاز طبي دقيق ونادر.
وأعرب الدكتور عبد العزيز قنصوة، رئيس جامعة الإسكندرية، عن فخره بهذا النجاح الذي يجسد الكفاءة العالية للفريق الطبي بالمستشفيات الجامعية، مؤكدًا أن الجامعة تولي اهتمامًا بالغًا بدعم القضايا الإنسانية وبتقديم الرعاية الصحية المتكاملة للأشقاء العرب، تنفيذًا لتوجيهات الدولة المصرية في مساندة المصابين من قطاع غزة وتوفير أفضل سبل العلاج لهم داخل المستشفيات الجامعية، وأشار سيادته إلى أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس المكانة الطبية والعلمية المتميزة لجامعة الإسكندرية، وقدرتها على التعامل مع العمليات المعقدة والحالات الدقيقة وفق أعلى معايير الجودة والرعاية الصحية.
وأوضح الدكتور تامر عبد الله، عميد كلية الطب و رئيس مجلس إدارة المستشفيات الجامعية، أنه في يوم 21 أكتوبر 2025 تمكن فريق من أطباء قسم جراحة القلب والصدر والتخدير والمعاونين من إجراء جراحة دقيقة بالغة الخطورة لأحد المرضى المحجوزين من قطاع غزة، والذي كان قد تعرض لإصابة بطلق ناري في الرأس منذ فترة، استقر المقذوف على إثرها داخل تجويف القفص الصدري قرب الشريان الأورطي، وهو أكبر وأهم شرايين الجسم والمسؤول عن تغذية جميع الأعضاء الحيوية، وأضاف أن الفريق الطبي، رغم دقة الحالة وتعقيدها، نجح في استخراج المقذوف بأمان بعد عملية جراحية نادرة استمرت عدة ساعات داخل المستشفى الجامعي الجديد، حيث خضع المريض بعدها للرعاية الطبية اللازمة، وحالته حاليًا مستقرة وتحت المتابعة الدقيقة من الفريق المختص.
وتؤكد جامعة الإسكندرية استمرارها في توفير الدعم الطبي والعلاجي للحالات المحولة إليها، انطلاقًا من دورها الوطني والإنساني ورسالتها في خدمة المجتمع ودعم الأشقاء العرب في مختلف المواقف.
★★ A New Medical Achievement at Alexandria University to Save an Injured Palestinian Patient from the Gaza Strip
As part of the national and humanitarian role undertaken by Alexandria University, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to provide medical support for injured Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, a specialized medical team at Alexandria University Hospitals has successfully achieved a precise and rare medical accomplishment.
Professor Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University, expressed his pride in this success, which reflects the high efficiency of the medical teams at the university hospitals. He affirmed that the university gives utmost attention to supporting humanitarian causes and providing comprehensive healthcare to Arab brothers, in line with the directives of the Egyptian state to support injured Palestinians and offer the best possible treatment within university hospitals. He added that this achievement confirms the distinguished medical and scientific standing of Alexandria University, and its capability to handle complex surgeries and critical cases according to the highest standards of quality and healthcare.
Professor Dr. Tamer Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Alexandria University Hospitals, explained that on October 21, 2025, a team of physicians from the departments of cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesia, and supporting staff succeeded in performing a highly complex and risky surgery on a patient from the Gaza Strip. The patient had previously sustained a firearm injury to the head, causing the projectile to lodge inside the thoracic cavity near the aorta — the largest and most vital artery in the human body, responsible for supplying blood to all essential organs. Despite the sensitivity and complexity of the case, the medical team succeeded in safely removing the projectile after several hours of a rare surgical procedure performed at the new university hospital. The patient subsequently received the necessary medical care and is currently in a stable condition under close observation by the specialized team.
Alexandria University affirms its continued commitment to providing medical and therapeutic support to all cases referred to its hospitals, stemming from its national and humanitarian mission to serve the community and support Arab brothers in all circumstances.
