Knowing how to help can be empowering when everything and every day feels overwhelming.

Asking the patient "how can I help you?" is important. And by taking the initiative and offering specific help, you might be able to provide even more support.

Things you might want to offer to help include 👇 :

• Cleaning and vacuuming
• Clothes washing and ironing
• Cooking meals for freezing
• Transport to and from hospital appointments
• Taking children to or from school
• Babysitting

Have you had your implants for longer than 10 years?

Though not intended for permanent use, breast implants do not come with an expiration date. Therefore, contrary to popular belief, there is no such thing as a standard lifespan for breast implants.

The general guideline is that you should not replace your implants unless you have a complication, or if you wish to replace them for aesthetic reasons (you might want to change the size or shape of your breast implant).

If your implants are in good shape and you still love your results, don’t worry, your implants can stay with you.

Make sure you attend regular check-ups!

Did you know about tuberous breasts? 🤔

Tuberous (or tubular) breasts is a condition that appears when the breast tissue does not expand properly during puberty.

This causes the breast to grow with a narrow base and with the volume distributed in a long shape rather than a rounder shape (think of a tube!).

For patients who feel self-conscious about tubular breasts, a breast augmentation may be a solution to help change the shape and balance both breasts. Ask your plastic surgeon about this procedure!
