The strength of Egyptian Genome Day came from the voices and expertise of the leaders who took the stage — leaders who embodied what it means for a nation to stand at the intersection of tradition and innovation.
In alignment with our theme, “Where Heritage Meets Innovation,” we were honored to hear from Prof. Gina El-Feky - ASRT Acting President, Mr. Greg Gonzalez - Illumina Middle East Director, Dr. Amr Tarek - Marketing and Sales Support Manager, Major General. Dr. Mohamed El-Gohary - Executive Director of ECRRM Major General Dr. Khaled Amer - Egyptian Genome Project PI, H.E. Prof. Mohamed Awad Tag Eldin - Advisor of the President of Republic for Prevention Affairs, Prof. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar - The Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, H.E. Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
Their insights were complemented by the dynamic panel “From Vision to Implementation – Egyptian Genome Roadmap,” moderated by Mr. Ashraf Amin with contributions from, Major General Dr. Mohamed El-Gohary, Major General Dr. Khaled Amer, Prof. Nevine Abdelmoneim Soliman, Prof. Saleh Ibrahim, Prof. Yehia Zakaria Gad.
Together, they created a conversation that honored Egypt’s legacy while laying the foundation for its genomic future.
