This Thursday I’m teaching a HAPPY BACK YOGA WORKSHOP at Osana Family Wellness.

Chronic back pain is one of the most common complaints I hear from students, friends and just about everyone I know - young, old, active, desk workers... you name it!

I have scoliosis and am all too familiar with that nagging ache - I lived most of my life with it not knowing what to do. When chiropractors, physiotherapy, swimming, massage and yoga did very little or nothing to help in the long run, I knew I had a lot to learn.

What worked best for me was approaching my back with a kind but consistent mindset. Building strength intelligently, incorporating twists, backbends and forward bends into my practice and being mindful of my everyday posture.
