Dr Shady received his master degree in Internal medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology from the Faculty of medicine, Cairo University. He currently lectures internal medicine, diabetes and endocrinology at the New Giza University. He has several influential research papers in high impact journals in the field of Diabetes and Endocrinology

On the 14th of November, World Diabetes Day is celebrated. The day is celebrated on the birthday of Fredrick Banting, who discovered Insulin. The day is celebrated to acknowledge diabetes as a problem that affects the global population and is not the issue of one ethnicity or nation.
422 million people have diabetes globally, and every year 1.6 million die from it. Many serious medical complications can arise from diabetes. However, by early detection and management diabetes can be controlled.
