استضاف قسم الهندسة الميكانيكية – كلية الهندسة بالأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري (فرع القاهرة) خلال الفترة من 1 أغسطس إلى 1 أكتوبر 2025 طالبين من جامعة التكنولوجيا الماليزية (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia - UTM)، وذلك ضمن برنامج التدريب الصيفي المشترك بين الجامعتين.
شارك الطالبان بفاعلية في مشروع الغواصة الآلية (Mini ROV) داخل معامل القسم، من خلال مراحل التصميم الميكانيكي وأنظمة التحكم والاختبارات العملية.
جاءت هذه الاستضافة تحت إشراف الأستاذ الدكتور/ ياسر جلال – عميد كلية الهندسة، والأستاذ الدكتور/ محمد المحلاوي – وكيل الكلية للدراسات العليا والبحث العلمي،
وبإشراف مباشر من الأستاذ الدكتور/ سامح شعبان – رئيس قسم الهندسة الميكانيكية، والدكتور/ أحمد عبد اللطيف – أستاذ مساعد بقسم الهندسة الميكانيكية.
يتقدم القسم بخالص الشكر إلى فريق RobEn ROV على تعاونهم ومشاركتهم مع الطلاب الماليزيين، مما ساهم في تحقيق تجربة تدريبية متميزة وفعّالة.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering – College of Engineering at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (Cairo Campus) hosted two students from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) during the period from August 1 to October 1, 2025, as part of the joint summer internship program between the two universities.
The students actively participated in the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Project (Mini ROV) at the department’s laboratories, contributing to the mechanical design, control systems, and experimental testing stages of the project.
This internship was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Yasser Galal – Dean of the College of Engineering, and Prof. Mohamed Elmahallawy – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research,
with direct supervision from Prof. Sameh Shaaban – Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Dr. Ahmed Abdellatif – Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department.
The department extends its sincere appreciation to the RobEn ROV Team for their collaboration and support with the Malaysian students, which contributed to a distinguished and effective training experience.
