A second shipment of life-saving reproductive health medicines and equipment has arrived in via the European Union Humanitarian Air Bridge, funded by the UN's 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 (CERF).

It will help ensure safe births, enable emergency C-sections, and manage life-threatening complications across the country.

وصلت إلى #لبنان شحنة ثانية من الأدوية والمعدات المنقذة للحياة في مجال الصحة الإنجابية عبر الجسر الجوي الإنساني للاتحاد الأوروبي، وبتمويل من الصندوق المركزي لمواجهة الطوارئ (CERF).

وستسهم هذه الشحنة في ضمان ولادات آمنة، وإتاحة إجراء العمليات القيصرية الطارئة، والتعامل مع المضاعفات التي تهدد الحياة في مختلف أنحاء البلاد.

يُعدّ العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي من أكثر انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان انتشارًا، ومع ذلك لا يزال يُبلَّغ عن جزء محدود من الحالات، فيما يفلت الكثير من الجناة من المساءلة.

الصمت والتهاون لا يحميان أحدًا، بل يكرّسان الإفلات من العقاب ويطيلان معاناة الناجيات.

العدالة تبدأ بالحماية، وتقديم الرعاية، وضمان المساءلة الفعلية لكل من يرتكب هذه الانتهاكات.

Despite a temporary ceasefire, the war in continues to place pregnant women at grave risk.

The healthcare system is under severe strain, with over 13,500 displaced pregnant women struggling to access essential care as clinics close, supplies run low, and shelters remain overcrowded.

منذ أكتوبر 2023، والنساء والفتيات في #غزة يفقدن حياتهن بوتيرة لا يمكن تخيلها....

اثنتان كل ساعة.......

واليوم، لا تزال 50,000 امرأة حامل معرضة للخطر مع تدهور خدمات رعاية الأمومة والمواليد، وفي ظل نقص حاد في الوقود والإمدادات الأساسية.

في جميع أنحاء غزة، لا يزال 1.9 مليون شخص نازحين، ويعيش الكثير منهم في ملاجئ مغمورة بالمياه وغير آمنة. تتزايد حالات العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي وزواج الأطفال وتتعمق الصدمات النفسية.

يواصل صندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان تقديم خدمات منقذة للحياة — من الولادات الآمنة إلى حقائب الكرامة والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي،لكن الوصول إلى الخدمات لا يزال مقيدًا بشدة.

تحتاج النساء والفتيات بشكل عاجل إلى وصول غير مقيد للمساعدات الإنسانية المنقذة للحياة وتمويل مستدام لتوفير هذه المساعدات.

That’s how many women and girls have been killed in since October 2023.

Today, 50,000 pregnant women remain at risk, as maternal and newborn care services are collapsing under critical fuel and supply shortages.

Across Gaza, 1.9 million people are displaced, many sheltering in flooded, unsafe conditions. Child marriage and gender-based violence are rising, while trauma deepens by the day.

Despite severe constraints, UNFPA continues to deliver life-saving care — from safe deliveries to dignity kits and psychosocial support.

But access remains critically limited.

Women and girls urgently need unhindered humanitarian aid and sustained funding.

"لم تكن هناك أسرّة متاحة… شاهدناهم يموتون أمام أعيننا."

هكذا يصف د. حسن بابكر واقع مستشفى الأبيض للولادة في شمال كردفان، حيث يعمل الطاقم الطبي تحت ضغط هائل مع تدفق النازحين ونقص حاد في الإمدادات وانقطاع الكهرباء.

المستشفى، وهو الوحيد للإحالة في غرب البلاد، يخدم أكثر من 230 ألف نازح، معظمهم من النساء والفتيات، وسط إمكانات شبه معدومة.

The humanitarian crisis in is reaching a breaking point.

Escalating violence and severe access constraints in 2026 have created a catastrophic environment. While faces unsafe living conditions and critical shortages, the is seeing record displacement and a rise in gender-based violence.

UNFPA is on the ground. We’ve scaled up to reach 287,000 women, girls, and young people with life-saving reproductive health and protection services.

However, to sustain this response and reach those still in need, urgent funding is required.

In Khartoum, El Fasher, and beyond, the fabric of Sudanese society is being torn apart. These photos capture the raw reality:

Three years of conflict in . Women and girls are paying the highest price.

Nearly 34 million people need humanitarian aid, including 7 million women of reproductive age and around 1 million pregnant women—many unable to access life-saving care.

Health systems are shattered, and survivors of gender-based violence face overwhelming barriers to safety and support. Despite severe funding gaps, UNFPA continues to deliver critical health and protection services wherever possible.

Women and girls in Sudan need access, protection, and peace—now.
